Yeah, "Hey that's a great down payment, how bout you finance the rest?"

I had a guy try that when I had my old jeep up for sale. I had it listed at 5, expecting 4.2ish. Guy talked me to 3.9 so, okay. Shows up with 2k cash and hands it to me and starts to walk over to put it on the trailer in a power move. Told him to take his cash back, and if he touches the jeep I'll call the police for vandalism

Dude was pissed that he drove all the way down like 2 hours w/ a trailer and I wouldn't fold for half as much. He pulled the balance out of his pocket and I told him to stuff it and find another jeep.

Coming in with a reasonable offer cash to the negotiation, great. Showing up and throwing half at me and expecting me to take it and not bat an eye, you're a dink. Told him that, and waved goodbye with a smile, he gave me the 1 finger salute.

Traded it in for like 2k even. I made less than selling it to that guy, but (a) telling him to F off and (b) not dealing with the hassle, was worth taking the lower number.
