    Guys,

We had some icy weather a few weeks back and I slid into the curb at a pretty decent speed, maybe 25-30 mph and developed a pull to the right (I hit the right front tire on the curb).

I had an alignment/balance done, and the pull remained. I rotated tires and it's still there.

Any idea what else I could have done? I'm starting to think the wheel bearing may be injured and causing excessive drag on the right side therefore pulling to the right even though my alignment is in spec.

Thanks for any ideas you can come up with.

It's an '05 TRD off-road 4x4 double cab with icon coil overs up front and 285's on Konig counter steers. Everything else is stock.

    Thanks!!!
    Jim

What were your alignment numbers? You'd be able to hear a bad bearing, that or your wheel is bent, but that doesn't seem like that would go unnoticed.

    Edit: I can't spell.

To be honest, I'm not sure what the alignment specs are but this is the same shop that aligned my truck when I put the lift and tires on. It tracked perfectly for the past 3 or 4 years so I trust them when they tell me the alignment is good.

I DO hear more noise coming from the front. It's like a tire roar that you get when you need to rotate your tires, which also makes me think wheel bearing may be part of the issue. Usually after an alignment it goes away but not this time.

I'm going to drop it off at my local Toyota dealer and let them do some diagnostics. I just don't have time to mess with it and the constant pull drives me insane.

Just wanted to share with everyone the problem resolution.

I took it to my local dealer who put microphones on each corner and they found that the LEFT wheel bearing was bad and needed replacement. How that made the truck pull to the RIGHT I will never understand, but they were right as the truck tracks straight and true now. Much quieter too. :)

Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know in case someone else runs into a similar issue.
