    Hey guys,

I have a 2017 DCLB 4x4 Offroad Tacoma. My truck pulls to the right pretty badly whether I am idling along or at interstate speed. This all started about 5 months ago when I first lifted my truck and put new rim and tires on.
I put my lift (minus the UCA's) on around thanksgiving with the help of my dad and drove it for a couple days and it didn't pull in any direction. Then after installing my rims and tires it started to pull to the right( yes I got an alignment). A couple weeks later I got my UCA's installed at a shop and got another alignment done, The pulling was still pretty bad at this point. I was told the tires were the problem so I replaced my current tires with the 285 version of the same tire (long story still waiting to be reimburse 3 months later form cooper for going through them to switch out the tires). When they installed them they did another alignment and switch the tire around the truck, but it still pulled to right (not as bad as previously). So finally after a couple months I go fed up again and got an alignment the other day at tire kingdom and it didn't fix the issue.

So after my long winded story I plan on swapping out the tires this weekend to the stock tires to see if i can narrow the issue down to see whether it's the lift or the rim/tire combo. I believe it's the rims causing the issue, but I guess I will be able to narrow it down this weekend. Just hoping to get your guys input?

    Thanks,

Lift: Front - Bilstein 5100s set at 0, OME 888 coils, LR UCA's, taco lean spacer
    Rear - Add a leaf, 5100's
Tires: 285/70R17 Cooper ST Maxx (current had them for 4000 miles)
255/80R17 Cooper ST Maxx (previously Only had them on for 2000 miles)
Rims: Ultra Mavericks 17x8 0 Offset

This past weekend I swapped out my dads stock 2016 trd sport rims and tires to test out if my truck was still pulling to the right. Results are that my truck still pulled hard right, but took a little long to do it( Smaller width and less aggressive tread). I put my tire back on and took it to go get another alignment. My results are posted above and my truck still pulls right. Although it just barely pulls that way and is 100 times better. It will actually go straight most of the time depending on the grade of the road. I will take it back in for another alignment because i got the 3 year warranty with it this time. So it turns out the lift is the problem in my case although the oversize tires do not help.
Fun fact my dads stock 265/70R17 tires and rims weighed 65 lbs while mine weighed 92 lbs.

sounds like alignment out of spec...do you have the alignment numbers they provided?

Had a very similar issue on the first truck I ever owned... long painful story later, it was a combo of my one tire had a massive imbalance whenever it was manufactured and my rim was also f**ked (but looked just fine to the eye)

Yeah it's most likely your tires. I've done hundreds of alignments, and I've never had one so far out that it caused a pull. Other than something being bent or broken of course.

Most veteran techs go to alignment first when diagnosing a pull concern, and it almost never fixes it. I've also seen multiple sets of the same tire (brand new) having too much radial pull.

Swapping the front tires side to side should change the direction of the pull, or at least lessen it. Also most tire places should be able to do a straight track balance which may have them rotate tires on the wheels, and will direct them where to place it on the truck. Sometimes the radial pull is just too much and can't be eliminated.

    It's the alignment.

Well, only 99.999% sure. But that's where I'd start.

    ^Agreed^
Could be a defective tire I've seen it in brand new ones inside belt separation. OP, if you feel up to it, simply change/ swap/or rotate front to rear and if the problem's gone, you nailed it!

    Hope that helps!
    Cheers!

Two different sets of tires and it still pulls in the exact same direction?

I'm going to say your alignment is off.

    Need to see a printout.

Alignment sheet had been added up top. I've already replaced one set of tires and got another set so u don't feel like it's the tires.

    So it looks like:

final camber is 0.7* each side?
Final caster is 0.3 left and 0.8 right?

Can't really read SAI. Tthrust angle looks good.

Final caster is 2.7 (higher than spec) but same on both sides.

Final camber is -.8 on right, -.3 on left

right off the bat i can see your front cambers are negative AND uneven. those tires are designed to be run basically flat in camber (0.0deg). correct that first. i didn't look over everything else though, but that must be corrected. have these guys not setup truck tires before? camber like that looks like they're trying to put a streetcar alignment on it.

i have Cooper ST Maxx E range tires on my Tacoma, and i can tell you if these tires see something to grip then they will and pull the truck that way. that alignment is leaning on the right front tire's inside edge, so i believe it's causing the pull.
