Truck Pulls to the left at times and i feel a slight vibe in the seat...ideas?

    My truck is supposed to be within alignment specs or close to it anyways and i used to have huge vibes in the steering wheel at highway speeds, but then i got it road force balanced and that is gone but i do feel some vibes in the seat at times randomly. I'm pretty sure i may need to get my truck realigned, but do u think the bumps in the seat are just from the stiffer suspension (5100's) and the bigger tires?

    Also should i get it realigned?

    toytec coil spacers, tokicko struts/dubcab springs, energy suspension rack bushings, bilstien hd shocks, K&N FIPK2, Flowmaster 50DF, ScanGuage2, 5000k HID's, horn mod, other stuff that I forgot to list
    Could be the road that your feeling in the seat. Has nothing to do with the alignment.

    If your truck pulls, and may be out of alignment, Id recommend getting it aligned. It will save you from bad tire wear patterns.

    yea i am getting it realigned here at school friday afternoon cuz the pep boys at home is terrible and they did a great job road force balancing but the vibes come in and out and honestly i drive in PA and WV so none of the roads or high ways are very smooth due to plowing haha

    Just to maybe point you in the right direction... if it's still a balance issue, front wheels will be felt mostly in the wheel, where rear wheels will be felt mostly in the seat/ everywhere else.

    yea its just that i got them road forced balanced and i have never heard of anyone having to redo road force balancing and the truck drove soo much better after it was done so i'm just wondering if it was the road since no highways even are totally smooth here haha. But it def pulls to the left

    Bigger, heavier tires will drive different compared to stock. Plus, when you lift it, it has a big effect on the caster setting. When the caster is too low it will feel like it wanders too easily, especially on uneven surfaces at higher speeds.

    When you align it, see if the caster can be set to 2 degrees or higher while maintaining a toe and camber setting of 0 degrees.

    so pretty much when i go in friday i should tell them toe 0 camber 0 and caster as high as you can go? Or should i just say 2-3.5?

    It actually took me two visits to get close to what I wanted. Or at least what I believe is as close to what is possible with my stock UCAs.

    On the 2nd visit I actually got their most experienced tech, likely because I was pushy about the results I got after the 1st goaround. The 2nd time they were able to set the toe and camber very near zero but could not get the caster any higher than 1.6/1.7. Nonetheless, the truck did drive better with less wander.

    To answer your question, I always ask for what I want with the realization that I might have to compromise. But I went in telling them I wanted 0, 0, and 2.4.

    how much did u lift it? i've heard sometime there are driveline angles can cause vibrations....

    its only the billy's set to 2.5" up front but they have def settled some so i would say 2-2.25" inches now

    hmmm I just picked mine up from pep boys yesterday. I wish I had seen this first. I actually pressed them on the caster specs when I saw the printout as they were (from memory) left 1 and right 0.3. He said that the print out was from before the final settings but the caster was within spec. I imagine that means like 1.3 or thereabouts.

    should I bring it back in and tell them to increase caster to ~2.4?

    I believe camber and toe were both very close to 0

    The more lift you have the more difficult it will be to get a high caster number with stock upper control arms. How does it drive?

    pep boys is the most worthless place ever, i have had them align my truck 4 times and it is still off so i would just take it somewhere else
