Just bought the 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 last wednesday and it pulls to the right on the freeway. Basically, it follows the road all over the place. They are the crappy Firestone Destination LE2. POS.

    Does anyone else experience this?

Is it just following the slope (crown) of the road? As in always trying to veer down the slope. If so, that's normal...every car does it.

Check tire pressures, alignment, if all are good then could just be the road or your tires.

If you bought it last Wednesday take it back to the dealer, they will most likely check your alignment for free. I know it’s frustrating OP just wait til you lift it and add oversized tires... finding a good alignment tech is a PITA then...

Yep, I took it to the dealer yesterday and they said they aligned it. And nothing, same thing. The old truck went straight, my ZL1 goes straight. All on the same freeways. So it has to be crappy tires that follow the road.

    This.

I know when I got mine I always found it didn't track straight very well, and when I put my lift in not long after getting it and got an alignment my mechanic mentioned that the toe was way out from factory which was already causing excessive wear on my tires. As soon as new alignment was done it drove perfect.

The dealer said also the toe in was waaay off. But it still is the same as before. Very disappointed in the tires Toyota has put on all four of my Tacomas. All 3 other times within 2 weeks I get Michelins put on and all shaking and pull all go away.

When the dealer aligned my truck they said it had too much toe out but it felt fine driving.

Just because the dealer aligned it doesn't mean its correct.

Success is dependent on a well calibrated machine and a tech who knows more than 'red light green light'.

Its also important that your tire pressures are both correct (most dealers overinflate) and equal side to side.

Not saying the Firestones are great tires, but they shouldn't be the root of the problem new.

So if you’re bitching about all 4 of your other Tacoma’s oem tires, what makes you think the stock set on these would be any different. It’s pretty apparent you perfer the Michelin’s you buy and put on. So why didn’t you just buy a set from the get go?

Agreed. For me it would have been a condition of the sale.

That said, unless one of the tires is factory flawed, they aren't causing the pull.

Every Taco I have bought they refuse to change tires. So I just go buy new ones and sell the old ones

Have you tried having someone else balance them?
I wonder if it was just shitty balancing.

They are not shaking, just pulling. On the freeway, within 5 seconds of letting go of the wheel I am off into the grass

My truck does the same thing. Look, we get it guys, we know what a road crown is. We know vehicles tend to favor the right side because of it. Its ridiculous how quick the wheel is to turn toward the right even on relativey flat roads. I am having the dealer check alignment when i visit next. Three cars before this truck and none of them followed the road crown so strongly.

What do you mean by "following the road"? If you mean it drifts down the crown then again this is normal. Tacoma's have very light steering so it may seem to do it more than other cars but all cars do this to some degree. It's inevitable even with perfect alignment.

Meaning as soon as you let off the steering it instantly moves you right and without a course correction you would be in the ditch.

Hm well if the road slopes down to the right, which most do, then yeah that sounds about right. If it's flat then something is wrong.
