The parking brake switch could be sticking, but that's not usually the case. That light also indicates when your brake fluid in the reservoir is low, which usually indicates that your pads are worn out. This shouldn't be at all related to the stalling

I would also check the brake switch as well as the connections at the Alternator and work backwards.
Sounds like something telling the starting circuit to shut off or it breaks the circuit.
If it runs fine until you take it out of gear, look at the switch.
If it runs fine and just quits, start at the alternator.
If you have an alarm that could do it.
Just think through it and you'll get it.

Alright well now I've narrowed it down to when I put it in reverse and disengage the emergency brake, happened again today so that seems to be the culprit. I tried letting it idle for a good amount of time but it ran fine, wasn't until I put it in gear. Also I've never put extended brake line when I lifted it so I plan on getting all this corrected within the week.

Might be throttle positioner or theres an idle-high idle positioner or regulator also that should automatically kick up your idle when you put it in gear, also get a code reader or get with someone who does, these trucks will still throw (& save) codes that don't visibly show up like a check engine light

Thanks for the response, already tried code reading at autozone nothing came up. It will only throw the oil pressure light and battery light not the check engine. Then it kills the engine but then I start it back up and everything runs fine and the cel lights go away

No prob. Just wanted to clarify it so someone else that comes in and doesn't get confused
I hope your issue is something small, you have 100,000 less miles than my 2008 so it can't be something major lol

It helps to read. Eliminate the obvious first.
    Keep us posted.

I know his issue was 10+ mos ago but my 2008 did the same thing last week. Engine cold, starts normally, idles 3-4 secs and shuts off. Repeats 3-5x. No sputtering (lack or fuel) or missing, just OFF, like key turned to Off. Checked all fuses, still does it. Wait 10 mins, starts and runs fine. Does not reproduce this last week. I know an electrical prob will be hard to diagnose if not currently acting up. No error codes stored, checked that. Runs great. I guess it's a sensor starting to die (or Chris's idea of moisture in the air/short in harness somehwhere). I was hoping people would jump on and, 'Oh man, that's your crank angle. They all start to die after 110k.' Guess I should be greatful not recurrent. If any insight, would appreciate it.:)
