RTT, bumper, and winch are all there. They didn't even bother to take the change from the center console. Honda generator, Pelican box, maxtrax and echo chainsaw are gone.

Sons of bitches! Glad you got it back. I'm assuming they got into your PII that was in the vault but I'm really hoping they didn't.

They did, birth certificate, passport, all of the vehicle documentation and merchant mariner credential. Truckvault has fantastic customer service and working on getting things straightened out.

Man glad you got your truck back, terrible about all your personal information they got. If you don’t have the best identity theft protection insurance I would get some right away.
Here’s a link to report the stolen passport if you don’t already have it:
    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/lost-stolen.html
truck looks very recoverable though that’s the good news!

Just a few scratchs from hitting the gate, Toyota dealer is currently going over it with a fine tooth comb.

    Oof. Your papers still there?

    ...

    Nope. OWCH.

And yeah, vaults aren't especially secure against power tools.

    Fucking Cretins...

Unbelievably my son's '90 Toyota 4x4 Pickup was stolen out of his driveway last night...fortunately nothing valuable inside.

I know hindsight is 20/20 and all that, but I have a gps tracker on my truck with app control and remote disable. Thankfully I haven't had to use it, but I'm glad it's there

That is all good. Unfortunately, that only has effect after the truck has been damaged during the theft. Like plugging the hole after the boat is sunk.

    Yes
Atleast you could probably coordinate with police of location when moving and disable when they are near by. That way atleast they’d get caught. Still sucks for OP wish he could get a few minutes alone with the scumbag who stole it.
