how did you get your 09 warrentied? I have mine loaded up with about 400 lbs of stuff. It sits pretty level but seems to be pretty soft/bouncy while driving. I may try to load a big wire spools into it to see if I can achieve the 600 lb rating.

I called the dealer first.I was told you leave the truck and they'll check it out.Whatever they checked I don't know. They called and said they talked to Toyota and they ordered the parts. The parts came the next morning and the job was done.
I fell into the right VDS Vin# grouping and had the old number leafs.
I went to the dealer with a copy of the TSB.I complained the ride was harsh and sits low with little weight in back.

OME rear shocks will ride better than the Billy... at least my OME rears ride better than my 5125s...

D,I think the 5125s may be heavier duty schock then the 5100s.
    OME does make great stuff,though.
I wish that had a coil spring that would only lift only 1.5" versus the 2.5-3" 885s.
The 880 spring would be nice but they won't fit the '05-'09.
I'd go OME coils and shocks.

My 2009 Taco has about 1K miles on it. I called the dealer yesterday and told the service advisor that I loaded 300 lbs of top soil in the back and it bottomed out...bs of course. I said it had a harsh ride with loads and he told me that he would verify with Toyota and call me back.

Well he called me back this morning and said that Toyota doesn't cover it on the 09's and that hopefully in about 6 months there would be a TSB out there on the rear leafs. I then switched into my bitch mode and demanded that Toyota do the TSB. He said he would call me back.

Got the phone call back and he stated that they will do it on Monday. He said that Toyota will do the TSB rear leaf if you want it bad enough, so everyone get out there and use the 'Jedi Mind Trick'....it worked for me! :D

Check again. The LU429 may really be LU42N.You have the LU42.Check for the N after...If so it matches one of the 8 five digit vin# groupings that may qualify you.Mine was MU52N.

well I stopped by the dealer on the way home. He pulled up my vin and said, nope, nothing on it. He was all set to leave it at that...I had to really pry to get him to even try anything. I explained that my vin was covered even though it wasn't released for my year yet. He went in the back, printed up the TSB and said, it's for 08s though. I had to explain the vin thing to him and he confirmed it with his manager

His manager said if my vin is within range, then it shouldn't be a problem, but to call service tech and see what they say. So.....now I am waiting to hear back from them. I wish this wasn't so difficult. I only have maybe 300 lbs of crap in the bed and didn't have a problem on the smooth roads. Soon as I started driving on crappy roads it was a major problem. I can't imagine if I was towing or had a 600lb load.
