Hi everyone, so I bought a used tacoma 2.7 4x4. It's running great at idle but when I give it throttle it will stutter them misfire sound then die or just bog till I let off the throttle. I put on a new fuel filter new fuel pump new MAF new TPS and new fuel pressure regulator. Please help I'm stumped?? Maybe cat clogged up!!???

Did any of those parts change anything about how it runs?

Also I'd check the ignition coils.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.

Adding new parts only made it run and smooth at idle. But now with new parts: when I start truck I have to feather the gas pedal or it'll die. Then once started it idles great about 1500 then down to like 800 when it kinda warms up.

Yup, sticking or cruddy egr can do it... I’m also a firm believer in checking the fuel pressure. I used to believe they either work or don’t. Not the case. I have been chasing a drivability issue for a long time. Many musical parts. Finally checked it, was ALL over the place. Replaced it w/ Denso from Rock Auto. My truck runs like an entirely different truck. It actually will keep up with traffic now. Lol

P0100 could also be cause by a vacuum leak. Definitely sounds like lack of fuel from somewhere. Whether is be an improper AFR or just not getting fuel because of something else like injectors etc

With the engine idling tap the mass airflow sensor lightly with the handle of a screwdriver and if the idle fluctuates the mass airflow is bad or so I hear
