Honestly it swayed all over when I bought it @ 70k it was always pretty fast and smooth on the fwy. My lift has taken me beyond going back tbh I need turning radius on 33’s, and I like my huge Deaver leafs they get my truck up there, so I’m running Kings w/o a sway front and rear and have total chaos uppers, and if it weren’t for a vibe I picked up lifting it I wouldn’t have had a custom 1 piece ds made for my 2wd. The ds made all the difference and 98% of my vibes were gone but at 70-75 is the rattle you’re teeth zone, lmao. I will be spinning the rear on a dyno at that speed to see if my pinion gear isn’t screwed, when I find the culprit it will be a oh shit moment, one of those things you thought it might be since it started.

I as well have put way to much money into trying to fix this issue. I was ready to accept that this was how my truck will drive forever... what one piece driveshaft did you use? But even then I like to cruise right at 75mph....

That’s weird that is the spot I’ve suspected and swapped the expensive bearings in my spindles thinking that would be it it stopped for two days and started over, Gawd. Then I bought a set of calipers off another member here and rebuilt them with or seals thinking the passengers side was hanging because of excessive wheel dust on the right front, problem seemed to go away and came back again now days after. SMH:ballchain:

Driveshaft Specialist in Texas they’ll build you a one of, it really helped a lot but my vibes were at all speeds beforehand, so that might do the trick for you being as you have vibes in one speed only correct?

Unfortunately its just about at all speeds for me as well. Gonna attempt to talk with bfg directly again. They cant expect anybody to be satisfied with the ride quality these tires give. I suspect they know something that they are trying to keep under wraps. But could be wrong. All I know is my truck had just about everything besides the rear shocks I have now on it when I got the tires and ever since then I've had problems.

You know what, come to think of it, that’s gotta be my issue too, one time I spent 60 freaking bucks for beads for my tires, lol, no joke they are supposed to balance as you roll, what a crock o’ shit that was. After six or so sets of these in this size the marriage is over with BF and I believe they are a Michellin product too. People aren’t complaining about vibes with other tires and my tire guy is sick of getting me his deal on em for 800.

Whoa that's why I got them where I did. Only $800 cash out the door. I've always had bfgs as well but this was first set of ko2s. Before that the original kos I believe, my dad ran those with fox 2.0 coilovers. I replaced those 2.0s with another set of 2.0s. Then since the ko2s were bfg all terrains being produced since I the truck was passed down to me, pops got over the manual Haha come up for me. I assumed they must have been improved some how. I was dead wrong. I threw bilstein 5160s in the rear. They helped more than I would have thought. But by no means a solution. On top of that I blew the motor up in the first year of it fully being my truck. Threw 4k at a new 3.4l and clutch. So I know all about being in too deep to give up. Oh I've only had this taco for a little over 2 years... will break 200k miles by the end of August though. Atleast the chassis will

:angrygirl: lots of tension going on in this thread, i can feel it oozing across the internet. I also know the all about being in too deep to not give up but for other reasons, that in 2 years i will have had this truck for 1/2 my life and have a relatively high degree of confidence that nobody has ever pissed inside of it since I am the only one whose name has ever been on the title!
its been very low maintenance over 2+ decades and only 3 semi-major outlays this year with new rubber, exhaust and custom Line-X job in the bed.
but now I got the original suspension that is probably getting close to needing replaced and a serious problem with my sport bucket driver seat that has been bugging me for six months with all the snapping and cracking while shifting gears.
I don't know what needs to be done since my failed attempts at finding replacement seat frame parts (and not knowing exactly WHAT is broken down back under there) is an endless cycle of bullsh^t at parts dealers.
I did run into a local auto upholstery specialist yesterday that contacted his detroit book source and is actually able to source the original Toyota fabric used in my seat, but at quite a cost per yard! so that if I choose to not keep my Toyota a Toyota and forced to get aftermarket ergonomic sport bucket seats (like I now have) I can get them custom stitched to match my difficult interior like nothing ever happened. I can just see this shit costing over $2k :bananadead: to keep it fun and thrilling to drive, lately its been a chore with the snap crack every gear shift and bumpy turns. The only time I feel at peace anymore is on the freeway in 5th gear just cruising away no stopping.

Your caster angle is the problem. You have negative caster, caster should always be positive. Front wheels on shopping carts have negative caster, they are better for turning and are not stable when moving quickly. Positive caster gives you stability at speed. Here is an article from TireRack about alignment angles. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=4
Most likely your control arm bushings are shot and/or the cam bolts for the lower control arms are corroded/worn out and are unable to get the correct angles.

It’s positive caster, but not that it matters I’ve been doing pro alignments since 17 I’m 40 now. I don’t use hunters machines either it’s done old school on a pit rack with turntables. Bushings are new oem and cam bolts turn fine. I’ve narrowed it down to tires or driveline issues it may be pinion but I don’t want to open the pinion without money to fix it if it’s got issues. I’m making a dyno appointment tomorrow to have a look while replicating 70-75 mph first. How much pos caster you talking 3 deg?

I've heard there is some kind of "slip joint" and a u-joint in the steering shaft that when worn out can cause weird steering problems. There is a whole thread here somewhere on the subject.

Do you mean do the tack weld mod? I don’t believe that would do much more than transmit the vibes even more:notsure:I can do that but don’t wanna have to undo it if it gets worse though.

    That was mine
That was my print out lol not surprised though this truck has been to hell and back mostly done by original owner... my dad lol.. I've been thinking about getting one of those master kits from energy suspension, seeing how many I could install confidently then taking the rest to my buddies shop in brea.

I did the master kit on mine. The control arm bushings are hell to get done. I had to burn out the rubber and then use a impact hammer to knock out the metal sleeve in the arm. All of the other bushings were easy. After the kit was installed the truck felt night and day difference though.

I had a set of pro comp steelies on my truck for awhile, loved the look of them but it always had a vibration. I personally balanced the wheels on it multiple times and it would always have a vibration. I even tried road force balancing and force matching the wheel and tire, still had a vibration. I sold them and got a set of Mickey Thompson wheels, nice and smooth.

That was what I was referring to. I have no idea if it would solve the problems discussed here. I just threw the idea out there since the vibration seems to be a real problem to solve.
