I'm getting anywhere between 0.8 and 1 on the reading.

Yeah, that is just outside of the specified range.
And that is with the resistor at 68 F’.

I’d jump the connector and make the call that way.
I don’t trust or have confidence in the “test procedure”.
In your case, it’s simple enough to check “what works”. As in - Jumping the connector.

Then find a local salvage yard and get a used one. (If you want to go cheap)

Yeah just jump the connection (either at the plug for the resistor or the relay location like mentioned JUST MAKE SURE TO DO THE PROPER PINS AT THE RELAY) and see if it works.

OP, I am just a bit curious. Was the original fuel pump replaced with an OEM or some other lower cost aftermarket?

Hate to admit it but I gapped the new iridium spark plugs and just now read that may damage them. Guess I'll take them out and check them.

gapping should not hurt the plugs. That's how you measure the effectiveness of the plug.

While I wait for that resistor, has anyone had any similar results with a bad throttle position sensor?

Have you tried simply making a lil jumper to bypass the resistor (unplug it and put the wire in place?)

The TPS is actually a system that is part of the throttle body and the accelerator sensor in an electronic form and unlike an actual TPS many are familiar with on earlier cars that could be replaced as a spare part and/or adjusted.
For this reason I would recommend not digging into and destroying the throttle body as it is sealed and $$$. I'm not sure there is anything inside that could be adjusted anyway.

On iridium tipped spark plugs the iridium is a Very Hard material and that makes it very brittle and subject to breakage and shattering. That is why they do not recommend gapping them.

    https://www.densoautoparts.com/spark-plug-installation

Before attempting to gap any DENSO Iridium Power spark plug, please review the specification chart in the front of this catalog to verify the factory-preset gap. In most cases your Iridium Power plugs do not need to be gapped. Even with small variations in the factory set gap the ultra-efficient firing power design will compensate for those small variations. Should you decide to re-gap your Iridium Power plug, use extreme caution as improper gapping may damage or destroy the Iridium center electrode or porcelain center.

Also, dont run the Irridiums in the v6 unless supercharged. Standard ones will work better and be cheaper. No need to change them out now as they wont cause a run then die issue like you are having.

A parts guy I was jokingly complaining about my plugs not being pregapped properly opened every one and slammed the gaps closed. We poked fun at each other like that so it wasn't that big a deal.

I'm not sure what harm it would do, probably none, to stick a bypass wire in place of the resistor. That is if your hurting without the taco.

I did do that and it runs, it's just hard to tell if that's the problem because it seems to be intermittent. Is it safe to drive with the jumper wire in place? If so, I will try that when I get home and see how it runs. Also, after the last fuel pump was replaced it seemed like the RPMs were a little jumpy, it'd drop below 500 for a second while slowing down and then jump back up.

Yeah just make sure the jumper wire is sufficient in size (similar to the harness side wire size) and that its secured in place well (put some electrical tape around it) so the jumper doesnt fall out or short to a ground. This will simply run the pump at full speed and yes it will cause more wear, but for a couple days of driving there shouldnt be any issues on the fuel pump over the life of the pump, so long as its not an already failing pump.
