    https://www.mobilistics.com/nostart...relay-w-remote-starter-fuel-pump-immobilizer/

These relays are simple to install and look factory but prevent the vehicle from starting by interrupting the starter or fuel pump relay signal unless triggered first. You can get a version with a bluetooth FOB or a hardwire version you can splice into another function such as the rear window defrost, fog lights, etc so that the relay is only enabled if you press that button first.

Oh ya I agree 100 percent. I don't know if thats an option for him or his living situation other than they like tacomas.

Also did anyone wonder if OP is the thief and possibly trying to find ways to get that tacoma? Just saying its a brilliant plan.

Sorry you have to put up with this, thats insane these trucks and i'm sure many more vehicles are targeted that easily. My vote would be for the visible camera all over and facing the vehicle to show the thieves are visibly recorded and may not bother. How strict is Canada on car theft? Or do they just let them off with a slap on the wrist like many liberal states here.

One of the unfortunate realities of car theft - a properly educated and equipped thief will get their target. The best you can do is to put enough impediments in their way that they will decide the time required to take yours makes it not worth their time so they'll find an easier target. And, of course, the more impediments you have for them are also more things you need to deal with every time you are driving anywhere.

A kill switch/immobilizer sounds like a good route for you to go. Also, if you can manage the cost of it, I'd definitely look into having the frequency of your fob for remote access changed - personally, I'd want that completely disabled since it's a huge security risk, but I understand some folks think it's a valuable feature.
