I don't know if im the only one that notice but the car theft took place right here in Sacramento, in the beginning their driving on i-5 near freeport blvd, you'll notice the big water tower that says Sacramento but its blur out but I think you still see the "city of trees" sign, then they exit pocket rd, and go to the home depot on freeport blvd and mack rd, the neighborhood that they stole the car from looks kinda like natomas, and I bet the junk yards are at sunrise..

Damn, sorry bro. What a dick for stealing your vehicle. When it comes to toyotas, it's more like kidnapping  If I see it in here in Texas I'll stomp the dude's knees out for you.

When my co worker had her car stolen, they said they had to wait ten days to give the car a chance to show up. In the mean while they gave her a rental. When it wasn't found within that time they issued her a check for what the car's base value was. She had no add ons or anything so she did not have to show receipts, she just took book value.

They found her car about a week later, a little beat up but it was then the property of the insurance's. She had the option to buy it back as is but she didn't want to, because she ended up buying a new car.

Here's my stolen vehicle story. I used to buy Jeeps, fix em up and sell em for a profit. I had just got mine back from the paint shop and parked it in front of an apartment complex I was living at the time. The next day, it's gone. Lock is on the ground, only thing left in the parking space.

About a week or so later I get a call from some old dude yelling to get my fing Jeep out of the lot before it's towed. I get the address and drive over. Jeep is in a parking lot 3 towns over with a hole where lock was pried out with a screwdriver and the iginition switch is literally broken off and all the plastic is smashed (can't you just give the victim a break and do things cleanly ffs?).

Now my dilemma, just jump in and drive it home OR call THE police and let them know it's recovered THEN drive it home so I don't get arrested for driving my own reported stolen car. I opt to call police first, like a good citizen. Big mistake.

The police tell me to wait with the Jeep and an officer will come and take a look at the situation. Officer arrives 90 min later, looks things over and says they need to take it and do some investigative work, all standard procedure. I'm like ahh okay, and the officer gives me a number to call and talk about when I can come and pick it up. I call and the woman officer tells me that I need to wait a couple of days until it's processed and call back.

3 days later I call the number and ask if I can pick up the Jeep. "Yes, you can pick up the Jeep but it's $275 for towing and storage fees." I am like WTF??? I ask why they took it and she says that it's 'standard procedure.' I asked if they got any information from their 'investigation' and she tells me that they didn't. I ask them if they got fingerprints or anything from the door, the steering wheel, or even the popped lock on the ground (I saved and turned it into the police). She tells me that they DO NOT CHECK FOR PRINTS (slap my fing forehead). So, ya they did nothing, nothing at all.

Now not only did I get the Jeep stolen (went without a ride for a little over 2 weeks), not only do I have to pay for the repairs (needed body work too because the ahole pulled the lock so hard the metal bunched up like a volcano and smashed the stearing column), I got to spend the day down at impound to get it out, I have to ask someone else to drive me there during their work hours, but now I have to pay $275 to police for what again??? Why didn't I just call and tell them there was a misunderstanding and the Jeep was never stolen, then I could have just driven it home right there.

I feel your pain dude, hope you get it back (without damage) or at least your insurance covers the whole things...btw, I hope all the criminals out there get testicular cancer and die a slow painful death alone and miserable (they call it civilization for a reason you scum fks).

As soon as PD calls for it to be towed, the owner incurs cost. It sucks.

When I picked up my motorcycle, at least they had the bad guy in jail.
