    Saw a tacoma hit by lightening once, it went from the antenna through the fender and the arc went from the wheel to earth.

    All ECU's and most harnesses.

    100% insurance.

    Loads of issues arise after repairs

    It's been several years ago, but lightning struck a tree in my neighbors yard, Their cars were parked within 15-20' of the tree. Insurance totaled both of their vehicles. There was no visible damage, but all of the electronics were fried. This would have been early 2000's, both cars were mid 1990's vintage.
