Hey guys, took advantage of the auto anything truck tent sale a few weeks back and finally tested her out! I ordered the proz truck tent for 16 tacoma. (Made by napier) install took the apropriate amount of time (15min) and didnt seem to drag out. Tent fit nice in the bed and overall quality seems to be top notch... Only time will tell. Doesnt seem cheeply made for a 150$ truck tent compared to the other brands starting at 300. Install,quality,price... 5 out of 5
To be adjusted if tent doesnt hold up well or leaks!

I left the toneau rails on but yes i removed the toneau. Takes all of 30 seconds! I probably could leave it but then the tent wont stretch over the rear rail and water could be an issue?

I did notice that a couple sharp edges on the toneau rails might be troublesome for the tent fabric so i bought a pool noodle and put it in the tent bag. Next time i set it up the noodle will go over the sharp edges and wont have to worry about anything.

On a side note, i will point out that there is slack on the bottom tarp material and if i was smart i would have a peice of ply to go across the wheel wells and a bigger air mattress!!
    When will the projects end:ballchain:

I wanted to buy that exact one but they dont make it for a short bed so I got there sports truck model which is $300 dollars.

My wife and I have used it once already and it held up great in light wind.

How did you and the wife fit between the wheel wells? Any future mods i need to think about? The twin mattress fits nice but 2 people wont be sleeping on it.

We use blow up camping mats and were not heavy at a combined 250 pounds so we fit amazing and our 3 year old fits too. I believe the bed and tent will sleep two adult males but it will be shoulder to shoulder imo.

I was also skeptical the mats would be comfortable due to the bed lining but no issues and knocked out for 8 hours in 30 degree weather.

Sorry no pics as my image posting accounts have expired.

On a side note for $300 bucks the tent poles should have been aluminium for the model I got. Future mods for me will be water proofing sealeant like I do with all my tents and a led light strip.

If you don't mind me asking how tall you are?

I'm not sure if any of these tents for the short bed would be good for a 6'3" guy like myself even with the tailgate down.

We have the same tent and it is a breeze to set up. Tip- set up the tent on the ground since it makes putting the poles in easier.

Don't leave anything in the inside cubby flap then roll up the tent and put it all away. I left my leatherman multi plier in mine and it's still there!

The air mattress i got at walmart on sale was 2 twin mattresses that are buckled together. So i have either a double tall or an extra for a friend.

Does your red/orange pole seem slightly 2 long also? I noticed it bulged on each side a bit, could be like 4" shorter i think. Look in my op pics
