    I have a 99 PreRunner ext cab 2.7L auto 2wd.

I want to get a tool box for my truck. Do I need to get a specific size or is it a one size fits all deal? Whats a good brand that wont hurt my wallet? What do you guys recommend?

Also wanted to ask...how do these get mounted?

    Thanks.

i have one from tractor supply it was a model for a small truck...it attaches with a "J" bolt on each side you drill a hole in the box the j bolt fits under the lip of the bed and then you have the nut and washer inside the box so no one can unbolt it..

they come with them usually. does your bedline go over the bed rail? if it does you might need to cut a small hole in it for the j bolt to go under the bed rail

I got one from a Nissan pickup specifically because it was a little *smaller*.

I didn't want the 'full size' box that would stick out over the bed frame. I actually chose this one because it was narrower and fit in behind the cab a little nicer.

Attachment was 5 self-tapping steel screws...two on each rail and one along the front wall high up just because. With the factory bedliner you can't even hardly see that they were there when you take the box out, it hides them really nicely.

There's pics in my profile...lemme know if'n you want better ones.
