Thinking of selling my 2013 Sport, MGM Access Cab, 6,000 miles on it. I have an extended warranty, think it's good until 2020. TRD exhaust, Running boards, weather tech mats, wet okalie seat covers, Lear cap, Bed mat, Kenwood DNN992. Truck is like new. Wanted to know what price to ask if I decide to sell it. Tried to add a picture but I couldn't. Thanks for the help.

You could use KBB excellent retail for your base point on the truck and add about 50% for the 'mods'.

Then price it a touch higher in hopes its exactly what someone is looking for.

Be prepared to move somewhere below retail but staying above private party.

Don't know if it matters to you or not but a toyota VSC can be prorated and you can get some money back. This used to be their policy, you can contact Toyota directly and find out. They are also transferrable for a fee. Just mentioning this because you can recoup some money for buying an expensive warranty you probably never used vs using warranty to help with sale. I would check out policy and use it to help in deciding my pricing and if to include in my negotiations. Truck should sell easy either way, for sure prorate warranty if you sell to dealer. Just something to consider, GLWS.

Look up the kbb value. Bam there is your value. Mods don't add any value so you should take them off and sell them separate.

Yeah, I'm in the process of it right now. If you read the contract there's a cancellation section that has the terms. Basically you'll be getting back a prorated amount of what you paid and how much is left on the warranty. If you're still local to your dealer, their finance department will take care of you. Otherwise all the forms can be mailed in.

Check your specific contract but on mine, if I got a refund it went to the lienholder. I waited until after I sold my truck, so that way the money comes to me. Should be around $1500 or so.
^^^ what he said. I pulled off a bunch of stuff and managed to make $2k. I even left on lift, brand new tires and wheels (expensive ones) and that added barely any value.

I don't think KBB is that great. KBB low-balled me on my 2002 Tacoma that I recently got rid of. Seeing used Tacomas go for lots more than what KBB says. Regional demand is a big factor too. In the Rockies Tacomas and Subarus are in higher demand than most other places.
