I just bought a new, used with 5,000 miles, 2013 Tacoma from a local dealer in town. The wheels were kind of boring and because it was used I asked the salesman to put another set of wheels and tires from another vehicle on my new purchase. The tires are 265/75/16 that have a fairly aggressive tread. I was driving a full size Ford prior to this and this truck seems to wander a lot when going down the road? I have not had a truck like this before and don't know if it is the tires, small wheels or just the truck. I am tempted to change out the tires to something a little more road friendly but was looking for help before I spend another $1,000.

    Thanks,

Welcome to TW! Does the truck have a lift on it?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i'd have the dealer check the alignment. lots of folks on here driving off the lot w/ a dicked up alignment.

Welcome, try a road force balance for your tires.

When I switched over to a larger and more aggressive tire my truck also had the feeling of wandering a bit. I assume you went with a taller tire at 265/75-16. The bigger tread and higher side wall will give it a more 'loose' feeling compared to stock tires.
