Truck will run for 2 to 3 seconds then shut off track off light is on

Hello everyone so I've been having this issue it just happened I was installing a switch panel in my truck through the firewall and up to my sunvisor So I was messing with some fuses and shoving wires to the firewall the firewall and when I was done I went to start the engine it rolled over a couple of times and never started plus the track off light is on now and I don't remember seeing it If anyone can help me please let me know

I have an update this morning I started my truck just to see if sometime would help it's started up and the check engine and track off light we're on and it was running at very low idol When everything else seemed to work fine I unhooked my switch panel that I put in

 

the fuse was the

EFI NO.2 or EFI
I read its the
Multiport fuel injection system/sequential multiport fuel injection system

 

If that fuse is loose it definitely can cause your mentioned issues. What are/were you trying to accomplish with messing with that fuse?

What are your trouble codes?

 

I was putting in a switch box for lights and crap and the box needed a line to turn it on and off with the acc so I taped that one when it didn't start I undid it and it still would not start but this morning it stared but at low idle and the check engine light and Trac off light was on

 

What were you using to tap it? An add a fuse or...

 

Did you disconnect the battery? My truck (and my previous 2nd gen) would always start for a second and then shut off after disconnecting the battery, then start and run fine after that.

yes that is what I did but when I started it it would idle at low rpm and check engine light and Trac off light was on

 

update my dad has a reader and ill get the codes, I have different ideas like replacing the fuse and trying to disconnect the battery and let it reset and try that I will keep you updated. thank you for all your help

 

Happen to me that same fuses. I pull out one time and when I go out it back in somehow I pushed the spade connect inside the box down and it wouldn’t make contact with the fuses. Spade connector to fuses wasn’t touching

 

You need a lesson in electrics and the purpose of specific fuse use

 

If you did the wiring job with the battery disconnected ....Good job
When you re-connect the battery , the computer in your truck thinks your throttle body is brand new and doesn't compensate for any build up of deposits .
The computer in your truck loses the memory of where the idle motor use to have everything set
It may take a couple starting attempts before your idle re-learn is set to the condition of your dirty throttle body .
Anytime you have the battery removed or the ecm loses power , you may experience hard starting and stalling
Not saying this is your problem , but it should be considered
