Try this if you don't have a battery tester: Turn ON the headlights. They should hopefully be bright. If the lights are dim at this point then battery needs a charge or replacement. Then try to start the engine. If the headlights go very dim or OFF the battery needs to be charged/replaced. If the lights stay bright then the problem is in the starter circuit.
If you have a voltmeter, the voltage should never drop below approximately10 volts or so. Hope this helps and good luck.

If this is the case then nothing electronic should be on correct? I’ve got hud lights, radio and head lights working

here's my post from a few years ago -- if there's no click ... https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...in-theft-mode-05-tacoma.664745/#post-23296077

in my case, the battery had died. I had my own jumper box and then we tried cables -- no click. Voltage was good on the battery after charging, but still no click ... I finally found this and it worked.
In my case, the 5 times reset the switch and I was able to start. You'll hear the click and it will fire up or the normal failed stutter when your battery is dead. The tell tell sign for me was no audible click when attemping to start. I'm not 100% if the alarm was going off while trying this. I want to say yes but I can't remember.

    They could be
    I sure hope this works.
And if it does, I’ll need to remember this.
I honestly can’t say I have ever had my alarm go off?

    I may not have one?
I do have Immobilizer, and a panic button?

lol everytime I disconnect then reconnect the battery my alarm goes off -- factory 2005 -- I need your mod that disables this. I'd love to get rid of that alarm altogether.

Mine doesn’t beep when I lock the doors either?
I don’t really want it too, so I never looked into it.
Although, there is supposed to be a way to disable it.

I know I didn’t, maybe the previous owner did?

Somebody sticky the process to disable or remove the alarm. Glad to hear you’re rolling again.

I bet it has an aftermarket alarm/immobilizer that uses the factory key fob, the factory immobilizer uses the chip in the key for anti theft and doesn't care if the doors are locked or not and also the factory one I believe disables the fuel injectors not the starter.

Whatever, doesn’t matter if he unlocks Jupiter and locks Mars while simultaneously half unlocking Pluto. He figured it out and no big deal

I could hear the full pump engage and fill the line when I turned the key

If it is clicking you may want to take a look at your connections again. Including connections at the starter.

If all is tight and good to go then you need to either charge or replace the battery.

For record, I NEVER disconnect my battery on any repairs minus starter replacement or something involving touching the battery positives or negatives together while the battery is still connected which could cause arcing or fuse blow out. There's no need for it. Seriously.

Welding is an X factor which in which case you should disconnect the battery, as that is some seriously high voltage stuff. Outside of these items, you are wasting your time.

It doesn't disable the pump just the injectors, usually when the antitheft is triggered you will get a start/stall.

Yes, I do believe that is correct.
Also, If the “Flashing Key” light for the immobilizer stop blink with the key in.
The truck should at least crank. That why I asked if the truck cranked.
If so, it wasn’t the key.

We cannot rule out an aftermarket alarm bro. I have seen plenty of vehicles using the OE fob setup while it still has an alarm rigged underneath the dash causing interference problems. He will need to get under there and confirm there isn't any funky wiring under there potentially causing interference.
