Just an update on my problem. Had the dealer check it out today. First thing is the service advisor gives me some crap about my warranty is void because I have aftermarket wheels on my truck. Just told him that the wheels would'nt have anything to do with what happened. Would have happened even with the stock wheels. Any way they checked it out and found nothing wrong so hope it was just an isolated thing. Thanks guys!

First of all, You have a 4x4 truck thats never been off road. Sell your tacoma to someone who is gonna use it for its intended use.

This happened to my truck, but is was only when i tried to go from 4 high to 4 low. It locked up. Something to do with the electronic shifting button thing. Only happened once.

I live in Makawao. Little bit below the dairy. Had some awesome thunder & lightning last nite. Lightning struck the ground in the pasture by Kalama hill. Nice blue skies now! Anyway thanks for all the tips. Think the truck going be ok now. Like I said maybe just gotta use it more. Up to 6821 miles now and January makes 3 years that I have it.
