Change my reverse bulbs, one blew immediately and then the other went out. cant find a blown fuse, its almost as if the shifter doesnt know that the brake pedal has been depressed. is there a simple solution?

Brake light fuse located in interior fuse panel, behind change tray to left of steering wheel. If you blew a fuse, as always, it's probably the last thing you did. I have never burned out a reverse light bulb.....perhaps you put some sort of "high output", fancy bulb in there? Change the appropriate fuse, go back to stock bulbs, see if problem goes away.

ok, located the fuse at fault, couldnt see it visually, actually had to break out a voltmeter to find it, replaced it, everything functions but i still have a P0705 code and my check engine light is still on. do you think a simply removing th ground for a few minutes might clear the code?

Yeah, pulling the negative cable should clear the code.
