Truck wont start !! Help

    I drive a Miata.
    But have you checked the voltage of the new battery? Just because it's new doesn't 100% mean that it's charged. KnowwhatImean, Vern?:D


    Also, try shifting to neutral, turn it off, put your foot on the brake and hold the start button for 15 seconds.

    I doubt if its a battery issue, especially if a new battery was installed, and a voltage reading does not test a car battery unless its completely toast. Sounds like the "push to start" system is not activating, which to me means there is a vehicle configuration that is preventing it. Maybe a bad brake switch, not it park, etc.

    @Rock Lobster - Holding the start for 15 seconds? Thats a good thing to remember. I don’t recall reading it in the manual though. Will have to review that part.
