Truck won't start with the key but runs fine with a push start

    I ran the ground jumper cables straight from the starter to the negative battery terminal. It started right up sunday. I pulled the starter and sanded the matting surfaces and I got one start out of it. I just ran a cable from the starter mounting bolts to the engine and it been working fine since.
