Key goes in, doesn't click like it usually should, dash lights don't come on, headlights do, won't go into neutral with the key in the on position, tried jumping it, swapped batteries already, and tried hitting the starter

    OP,
Please use whole words. Also, sentences. People generally like to help but if you don't list what you have tried in succession, they are less apt to help.

If you have an automatic transmission, there should be a manual override for your shifter position behind a small square piece (near the shifter). This should allow you to place the transmission back in Park or Neutral.
^ I believe this is shown in your owners manual.

Get it in Park or Neutral first and try again.

Could the steering wheel position have any affect on this? You said the key goes in but "doesn't click like it should". Turn the wheel back and forth to make sure the wheel lock isn't engaged- if I remember correctly, this can also affect shifter position/lock.

Edit: turn the wheel back and forth while giggling the key.

Thanks for the closure, Jobani. Was it a relay in the fuse box or on the starter or somewhere else?

ain't no thang bro. I know it sucks when these things break. What year is your Taco?

I was thinking I have a few extra fuses, but I should get some relays too. I go into the back woods sometimes and getting stuck out there like this beacuse of a $4 relay would piss me off :)

Cool beans. Well at least it was a cheap fix, right? Least you didn't have to pony up 5 bills or something
