Scouting trip up Wearyman creek. My mother-in-law's brother used to hunt up there and this is where his ashes are spread so I wanted to see how hard the trail was first before I took her up there

 

Teaser pick from the Kokopelli trail. My dad brother and i did a quick weekend out in the desert. We did the kokopelli from rabbit vallwy to 128 by dewey bridge and then the gateway road back to junction home.

 

I hate mud. So many mud holes on the first part of the kokopelli trail. mud is everywhere. on my third wash and still finding globs of mud. argh!!!! at least it was fun.

 

This was a great first sight and sunset on our first night. We are still pretty early on the trail but how can you pass up a camp like this.

 

This is a bit out of order. This was taken on the first day before the above picture.

 

Second night camp site. To be honest this site was beautiful overlooking the colorado again and found by mistake. I still use paper maps so i made the mistake of following the trail to the single track and we found this site on our way back out. Mistake worked out well though because if we kept going straight we would have camped in a shitty site compared to where we camped.

 

Fun weekend out with the family. I have been looking at this spot on the map for a while and we finally made it. Perfect weather and saw only 1 other truck the entire weekend. hooray

 

Fun morning drive before work. Winter is coming horray!

 

Who is ready for adventure? Desert we are on our way from snow globe land.

Not a bad weekend out with my boys in the Colorado high country. Quick little loop from Breck to Trout Creek pass to BV to Leadville and back to Breck. Live the Dream.

 

And a few more. No wheeling just relaxing. All within 1/2 tank from the house round trip.
