And if you bump that up to 300k it’s almost all Toyota’s and Honda’s

If I could fit a Tundra in my garage, that's what would be in there.

lol, I asked my dad the other week to buy his tundra and he said "will it fit in your garage?"

No, it won't but, my Tacoma will still be in there

Tundra is a good truck, but it's just bigger than what I need. If I needed the towing capability or the extra space it would be different. I'm a little surprised the Frontier is that far down the list. I expected it to be closer to the Tacoma.

I still see my old tundra around that i sold to my buddies garage that he had a buyer for. Was told the owner is very happy with it, yet its got over 300k miles now and still runs perfect. I was told it needed a complete new exhaust system and 4 sensors to go with it.

Odd that the Honda "Ridgway" which has been out only since 2006 has a higher percentage over 200,000 miles than the Tacoma, which has been out for about 26 years!! Does Toyota reset the odo when they spoon another frame under one? Maybe because many states don't require odometer reading if over 10 years old? Pretty weak article honestly.

I think it is is interesting way of looking at this. They didn't sort it by year. They just looked at the cars that sold last year an how many of them were over 200k as a percentage. This stat isn't shocking at all when you see the numbers when they included all vehicles -

    285,000 miles on our Tundra

No signs of either stopping anytime soon.

It's the rust that gets them all, not the engine.

I bought a Timberland Mica (dark green) Tundra Limited in '07. Sadly, I sold it when the recession hit and took a big pay cut at work (at least I kept a job). Year or so ago I was looking to buy a used vehicle so I purchased one of those CarFax multi-packs (5 reports for $100 or some such). For the hell of it I decided to look-up where my Tundra ended-up (my son was 2 or 3 at the time and still talks about "The big green truck". I found the truck had stayed local, had 275K miles and had been serviced routinely at a Toyota dealer about 10 miles from my house. Didn't show any major repairs having been done to it. I don't get sentimental about vehicles but that was a great truck, and the color was killer...wish I had kept that one.
