Was definitely Ray's kid. Just finished the 2nd season today. Ending was good. I wished ray and Frank made it too, but it doesn't always work out that way I guess. I didn't like this season as much as the 1st, but it was good non the less. Looking forward to the 3rd season.

Awful. Such a terrible ending. So inconsistent of a season. Like 3 good episodes and really it's only like 1 good episode if you add up the actual good parts of each episode.

Season 1 is one of the best shows of all time. Acting was great and the story was so good. This season has been a cluster of nonsense with a few good scenes sprinkled in.

No reason frank or Ray needed to die. They both closed their loops with a win and their deaths were forced in an unrelated way to the story. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

I compared it to a Charles Bronson style ending, it doesnt feel good, but it is what it is. I knew the Mexicans were going to fuck something up for Frank, and i knew that the guy that started this all, the kid whos parents were killed in the 1992 robbery, would not appear until the end. The first season followed the same pattern, but its like there was no thought to this at all.

I too was very disappointed to see Jordan, Anne, and Nails just wonder off with nothing. They have no money other than the 100k Jordan got last time she saw Frank.

What ever happened to the blue diamonds. Did the Vinci cop that killed Paul grab them during the shootout at the train station? I dont remember seeing Ray scoop them up.

Those were fakes at the train station.

Had to have been they looked a lot smaller.

I hate how much I've spent thinking about this show since I watched the ending for as much as I hated it. Maybe that means I actually liked it?:anonymous:

LOL. It definitely wasn't as good as the 1st season. But I liked it. But yeah, at one point he even says they are glass while talking to Ray.

Whoa, i missed that line. Really??? So Casper cashed them out years ago?

I agree there were way too many back stories tied into each other in this series. Again, there was the same thing in the first season but it all tied into each other more closely as each episode progressed. By the last episode everythign was crystal clear, so much so that they almost had the last episode shown through the killer's eyes as there was no longer a need to develop the back story of Rust and Cole.

Also who were Casper and Chief Holloway to knock off a jewelry dealer during the 92 riots. I think i recall they were both LAPD before going to Vinci iirc.

No. Not sure who still had them, but he certainly wasn't gonna give the kid the real ones. Or at least wasn't gonna risk handling the real ones while they took care of the kid while they got the hard drive.
    That I don't remember.

What happened to the couple million in diamonds that Frank bought from the Jewish jeweler? Did the Mexicans take them when they took Frank's money?

They were in his jacket pocket, which is why he didn't give up his suit. They were still on his person when he died in the desert...

I felt the acting was great. It was the writing/directing that sucked. I think they tried to make it to complicated and did not explain things clearly enough. The big gun fight and last two episodes were the only things worth watching to me. Season 1 set the bar very high but to me, Season 2 was no where close to it. I will still watch Season 3 though.

Different than season 1 for sure. Season 1 was half flashbacks & they didn't use that this season. I didn't hate the ending, kind of thought they were making up for both characters making it out of season 1 alive. I really thought one would die since I already knew no one was returning for season 2. My money would have been on Rust but it could have been either. I guess the only things in common were they were all really effed up detectives investigating. Not a normal one in the bunch between the two seasons.

I finished the second season and wasn't very happy with how it all ended. Considering how the first season ended this one just left me upset and wanting. I was able to binge watch the whole season in a few days so I didn't notice as many slow parts and thought it was good enough. They are writing season 3 now so we will have to wait till 2018.

I tried to watch the second season but after the first season they were never going to be able to top that. Made it two episodes in and gave up. Season one was just too good.

Did they confirm season 3? Cause last time I checked, season 2 did so bad, 3 was cancelled.

It's not quite cancelled but it's on hold and if the writing is good I bet they pick it up again. I'm thinking I'll binge watch season 1 again.
