I've done the requisite research but cannot seem to find *recent* dialed in numbers. I know there is a small variance with actual lift height, but I'm reading that ARB revised the expected lift for each spring? I thought 885's would give 2.5" on a DCSB, but now it seems it might only be about 2"? Do I need to consider an 887?

Ideally my plan was to refresh my current suspension and get a full 2.5" in front via 885's which will be paired with the ICON 3 leaf AAL for 1.5 in the rear.

My rig, currently on 5100's at 1.75 with 1/4 top plates on each side and rear 1.5" block...it rides pretty well but I know it can be better...thanks everyone.

Wheeler's info on the 887 indicating 2-2.25" lift for reference (thought these were closer to 3"): Tac1.jpg

    I got a full 3” with my 885’s.

You could always add a .5” spacer on each side to lift it up a little more if you only net 2”

A full 3" with just the 885's on a DCSB? I thought 887's yielded that. I do have 1/4" spacers now but I'd hate to have the 885's installed just to then have to get the top plates installed.

My Bilstein 5100's w/885s got me 2 1/4" on my '12 DCSB 4x4. Installed about a month ago.

I’ve had mine for almost 3 years and I got almost exactly 2” with OME 885 on 5100s (0 setting) on my DCSB 4x4. I’m currently in the process of adding top plate spacers to try to get closer to 2.5” in the front. I got 2.5” from the Icon 3 leaf AAL on TSB leafs by keeping the overload spacer and I’d like the truck to sit closer to the factory rake. In hindsight, I probably should have gone with the 887s but at this point it’s cheaper and easier to add a thicker top plate spacer to the driver’s side and install one on the passenger side than it is to swap the springs.

So is it safe to say the 2 to 2.25 is a safe assumption on the 885's? What's more desirable - 885's with 1/4" top plates (yielding an extra .5" of lift) for a total of ~2.75" or the 887's alone for ~2.75"? I assume its always better to not preload the coils. I just want to be able to have my guy do it once, and right the first time for what I am looking to achieve.

I guess I should add that my current setup includes a 1/4” top plate spacer on the driver side. Stupid taco lean... So I only got 2” of lift with 885s and the spacer on the driver side. I’m bumping that side up to a 1/2” spacer and moving the 1/4” spacer to the passenger side. Hoping to get 2.25” to 2.5” total in the front when I’m done (I’m also replacing my upper strut mounts too while I’m in there).

I just installed my new top plate spacers and new upper strut mounts today, along with a set of SPC UCAs. And I’m happy to report that the spacers have given me about an extra half inch in the front and helped level out my lift. With the new setup up front, I’m sitting right at 3” of lift on the driver’s side and 2.5” of lift on the passenger side. I went back and checked my stock center of the hub to fender measurements and compared to my new measurements.

    Stock:

    FL: 20”
    FR: 20.5”
    RL: 21.75”
    RR: 21.75”

    Current:

    FL: 23”
    FR: 23”
    RL: 23.75”
    RR: 23.75”

The current setup is Bilstein 5100s all the way around, OME 885 springs on the 0 setting with a 1/2” top plate spacer on the driver’s side and a 1/4” spacer on the passenger side. TSB rear leaf springs with an Icon 3 Leaf Progressive AAL and the overload leaf. I’m going to have my 33” tires mounted and get an alignment early next week and I’ll try to snap a picture of the new stance.

Current stance with the setup listed above and aligned to 3+ degrees of caster using the SPC UCAs.

My 2011 Double Cabe sits exactly the same and has almost the exact same suspension setup. The only thing that differs on my end is OME Shocks instead of Bilsteins. I too added top plate spacers from @HeadStrong Off-Road just a couple of weeks ago which leveled out the front. The ride feels no different than it did before I installed the top plate spacers.

I just measured mine. I didn't put the lift in I bought it as is. I'm not sure if it has any spacers. My set up that I know of is 885 coils 5100 all around front on 0 notch Dakar rear springs not sure which Dakar. My front measured 22 3/4 on both sides and 24 /34 on the rear. I have an ARB deluxe bull bar on the front with no winch.
I'm surprised that it's about 2 3/4 inches of lift bases on 09TRDSport4×4's stock measurements. Especially since I have the bumper hanging out there.

I have bilsteins with 887s. No idea what size lift I have, but with some trimming I cleared 35s so thats all that matters to me lol

There's definitely a 10mm spacer on the left and maybe a thinner one in the right.

I have 885 coils on 5100's at "0" & 3/8" drivers spacer and my hub to fender space is 22"'s. Seems low.
