I'm wondering if anyone has a good shop recommendation in the Turlock/Modesto area.

Before anyone says do it yourself, normally I would agree with you. However, these are my circumstances:

Fiancée's Corolla sounds like it may have a front wheel bearing going bad. To get the bearing out looks like it requires a list of tools I don't have and space I don't have. We've been instructed to take it to a shop as a gift of sorts but I won't let just any shop work on her car. It's both a matter of not being ripped off price wise or parts wise for the sake of the generosity of her parents.

I do! for alignment at least...hit up McCoy Tire on McHenry in Modesto. They are amazing with alignments for the tacoma. Forgot the dudes name who does them but he's a good guy. I can look it up for you if you need to. Don't take your truck to Balswicks in turlock. I don't recommend them. Also had my exhaust welded in by Bob at Bob's muffler. He's highly recommended even though he hates Magnaflow exhaust and loves Flomaster

The reason I said no on balswicks is because of a bad experience I had while trying to get aligned. Long story short the dude didn't want to listen and we never got my truck up on the lift anyways. Go to McCoy for alignment. Mike is the man. Also balswicks sold my dad some really cheap indo tires that ended up separating like a month later. Had to buy a hole new set at Americas tire.

Yeah I think I had something simple done there and it went bad or they wanted way too much, saw the bad reviews. Do you know anything about E&M Auto? it's off Fulkerth and has good Yelp reviews. My taco is a prerunner :(

Unfortunately I don't know anything about that shop. The only shop I have taken my truck to is bobs muffler in turlock and McCoy tire in Modesto

No problem man, to be honest, a good muffler and alignment shop are probably the most useful in the long term haha
