I checked with 'Undercover' a couple days ago and was told that their tonneau covers for the 2016 Tacoma's won't be out until the end of the year. Double check before placing an order.

Just checked out the factory tonneau today. Was going to take it off to see how heavy it was. Looks like you need a rachet to remove it? WTF? I didn't notice it not sitting flat on the ends. I did notice the seams were not uniformly flat. Terrible option.

that's the silver color right? I like how it doesn't look so shiny all the time. Here it looks more grey. Love it. Torn between this and the dark grey.

Extang has the Tuff Tonno listed on their website now and appear to be selling it directly. Anybody use one of these before ?

I noticed that most dealers out of the Cali area tattoo their company name on the vehicles they sell. I'd make em take that sh*t off before I take delivery.

When you buy a vehicle specify on the sales sheet that you want no dealer advertising on the vehicle.

I'm shopping for a Limited now. I'd rather start without a cover and if I decide I want/need one, get an aftermarket, maybe one of those roll-up types mentioned above. Just starting my search but one dealer told me Toyota isn't selling Limiteds without the cover. Does anyone know if this is accurate? If so, I guess it's Toyota's way of helping ensure that they meet the minimum # sold with it I've read about to meet the mileage requirements.

Toyota had to have at least 82% of the trucks sold with the tonneau covers in order to get the MPG rating that they wanted. This is what a sales manager told me today. They are giving mine to me for free.

Free, hell, I wouldn't take the factory tonneau if they paid me extra to take it. Why would you want something that doesn't seal, leaks, and they have to cut your bed rail cover to install? Toyota needs to pull their collective heads out of their collective asses.

How many people who never bought the Limited trim received a free Tonneau cover?

Thanks, LtTaco. Great news. I test drove one tonight - with a cover - but cover or not, it's an excellent truck. I'm definitely ordering one.
