I know, another one of these threads. I hate to be that guy, just trying to make my mind up. I am starting to plan out the next mods for the truck, which is gears and a lift. I think I have settled on 5.29's as I will be going up to a 32-33" tire when the time comes for new ones (currently on 265/70R17), and I plan to add some weight to the truck. Skids, sliders, bed rack and tent ect. plus I will be hauling my KTM 690 on the back (~325lb) when going on camoing trips. I have narrowed my choice down to as follows:

#1: OME BP51 with OME UCA's and HD Dakars (leaning towards the most due to adjustability)
#2: ICON Stage 8 kit with tubular UCA's and RXT leaf pack

I am aiming for 2"-2.5" of lift with the ability to carry the weight without sagging, hence Dakars or RXT's, and I want to maintain a good ride. I am leaning towards the BP-51 setup due to the overall adjustability offered while also maintaining good ride quality.

Looking for experience with either kit. Thanks in advance.

Example? Seems to me that a large portion of Tacoma’s are lifted in some sense and I don’t really see horror stories popping up.

There are a couple threads about getting vibrations after lift install. I'd recommend planning on throwing an ECGS Clamshell bushing in while you're getting the lift installed. Just save some time and headache. But as far as the lift goes stick to what works with your budget. Both of those set ups will be pretty sweet, have heard great things about both. I'd probably lean more towards the RXT leaf packs over the OME's whatever direction you go with. You may also want to throw on some bump stops as well. Just my two cents.

Busing is getting done when I hear it. That’s coming before the lift. I’ll look into bump stops.
