I picked up an Extang Xceed in 2020, and have no complaints, though it’s not cheap. The vinyl top layer did delaminate a bit earlier this year which was frustrating, but one email to their customer service and I had a replacement at my door a few days later. [IMG]

Luke at Truck Alterations set me up with a Lomax earlier this year. For what it's worth, I am very happy with it. I was in the same boat, trying to make a decision.
Highly recommend the Lomax and HIGHLY recommend Luke at Truck Alterations.

Any recommendations on a cleaner and protectant for the Lomax? Do you need both?

Local shop had an Undercover Flex in stock that someone ordered and never picked up. Luke's price was better, but buying local is good and they installed it for free!

Just put on a triple-flip Gator a few weeks ago. Does what I need it to do for not a lot of money, maybe save a few mpgs too while i'm at it.

I went with the Rough Country soft rollup cover. Overall, I think it is a great value. I do like Bakflip type covers but I think the rollups offer quickest and easiest use of my full bed. And I didn't really want to drop almost $1k on a cover. I had the Truxedo LoPro on a previous Tundra and the Truxedo has some slightly nicer features than the Rough Country one (like an auto-tensioner), but I didn't think it was worth almost $200 more. I was all in on the Rough Country for $300.

I had one on my 2012. Loved it. Easy on and Easy off. On when I needed to keep things in the bed covered.
Off when I need to load the bed with things.

303 UV protectant is a great product.

Depends on which Lomax cover you have. This package may take care of your needs, "

I have had the Bakflip MX4 for about 4 years and have had no issues. Solid choice IMO. Easy to remove for when you need easy access to the whole bed.

For what it’s worth I’ve run about a dozen mx4’s for a delivery fleet in the PNW over the years. They get opened about 15-20 times a day, get rained on 200+ days a year. Never had a problem with a single one. Some have been on for 8+ years. The trucks get retired before the mx4 does. I’ve had one on my personal truck for 4.5 years. As others have stated combined with the tailgate lock it’s awesome.

I got the Lomax polyurethane for about $800 and just got done installing it with my eight year old son. It’s badass. Looks like it will be very water resistant and has like a double layer of protection from water. Sits very nicely on the bed and was simple to install—it utilizes the rail system brilliantly. Makes absolutely zero noise. We just did a train track test and zero rattling. It looks awesome—the black is very deep and rich. Highly recommend. 1BFAADEB-D9B5-45D6-8410-B7400792AC55.jpg92194664-8B9C-4286-8D68-40FE6B064E6D.jpg15216E89-DB00-498A-9AD7-352D3CB2D840.jpg11A4D0AA-DE44-4F9A-8D66-D7166714956E.jpg4818E0AF-3E72-416B-BAFD-4F6BC9E9FD48.jpgC64925A2-44A1-4F77-B6A7-78D1E025D451.jpg

That green is starting to grow on me!! Nice clean and low install. I hate it when it sticks too far above the bed when closed.

Thank you. This color is really striking in person. My wife thought she’d hate it and she absolutely loves it now.

Thank you for the compliment on the install. I’m generally a dumbass at installing things but Lomax kind of makes it super easy.

I went with the Lomax, too. Ordered the cover on a Thursday from @truckalter , picked up my truck from the dealer on Friday, got the cover today (Saturday) and that was only because FedEx had a delivery delay.

I can’t compare it to others, but I like that the OEM bedrails stay in place, and remove/replace after initial install is fairly easy. C16EB31E-7F05-4F7B-849A-8B9A5BB44962.jpg
