As the title says I just installed some grille lights on my 2020 and ideally I wanted them to come on with DRLs and headlights. After reading every post I could find here I have not found a solution. I see people have said tap to pink, or green, or both or add a fuse to headlamp etc.

I have tried tapping to pink - It turns on with parking lights and headlights
Add a fuse to HL low - it only turns on with headlights
Tap to green and pink DRLs turn on parking lights
Add a fuse to DRL - grille lights stay on all the time

I do not want my lights on with ignition, I want them on with DRL and headlights, in case I want to turn all my lights off I still have that option.

It seems like my only option right now is to maybe run a switch and turn em on as I please.

I was wondering if someone knew of a way to have them turn on in auto with DRLs and headlights! Thanks! :frusty:

Fused power from tapped DRL (Green wire on harness to headlamps) goes into pin 1 of the orange connector.
Fused power from Low Beam (Blue wire on harness to headlamps) goes to into pin 3
Pin 2 goes to Grill Lamp (+)

The 3 slot connector is not weather-resistant, so it need to be inside the fuse box or covered with silicone tape.

So you don't cut into the harness, use an add-a-fuse on the low beam fuse. For the DRL tap, you could open the small fuse box next to the Main Engine fuse box and insert a wire underneath and next to the DRL relay pin 5.

The box comes off pulling up, it has 3 parts, top cover, relay tray and bottom cover.

Ok so what happens when I do

Add a fuse to low beam
Wire tap to DRL pin 5 is

When DRLs are on headlights are also on. Like it's bridging it together. As soon as I remove wire from relay head lights come off, but so do grille lights.

I do appreciate it, it's just a bit hard to understand I am still confused

I get now I need a diode so do I just buy 82345-32010 diode and use that to wire it? Do I need two of those?

What would the orange connector 90980-11070 be ?

I will be more than happy to send you something for all your help :spending:

Diode goes into orange connector. The diode is a dual kind. You'll need some terminals that go inside the connector to mate the dual diode.

These grille lights did not come with fuse, I am using an add a fuse with 2 10a to the headlamp fuse

Lower the top fuse to 5A...and add a fuse holder (5A) to the DRL tap...

For your consideration, an alternate method.
