This forum is very well moderated. And people here are very helpful. But they can be very rough on someone that comes here and asks for help without providing specifics. Are these dogs illegal to possess in the U.S.A.? Is that why we are not allowed to know what we are dealing with?

I mean, what you could potentially do is replace the entire door panel with a simple flat plexiglass or something, just have cutouts for the door handle and window controls. That might work.

Cut an inch or 2 off the backend of the crates and put some paneling of some kind (luan, plexiglass so they can see eachother idk) in between and connect the back of the crates together making single backend for both

Wait, so these crates absolutely need to be crash-rated but you're willing to hack them apart and jeopardize all structural integrity?

They are rotomolded out of very heavy plastic. You can do a lot to them without compromising their structural integrity. Just need to be able to lock them in place.

Some bolts and brackets would maintain structural integrity. If you really wanted functionality especially in the case of an emergency some latches to provide a second exit and entry in the case of an emergency because they won't be able to get out if the doors won't open for some reason

Double check the plastic type, some are very hard to plastic weld. Ive done kayak repair before and those are rotomolded from HDPE, its sometimes a pain in the ass to get it to work even on small cracks on them.
