i read all these comments and still dont think i understand the problem here. can the crates even get into the back seat, like are the arm rests preventing them from going in?

or are the arm rests preventing the doors to be closed once the crates are in?

whats a platform going to do in the back seat?

are the back seats folded down? still up? half folded? whats going on here?

just take the door panel off. it cant be that hard. its just a door panel. your dogs arent going to be rolling the windows up or down or opening the door.

lemme get some pictures. creates, truck, everything.

Without any information to the contrary, such as breed and provenance, I'm thinking that these are highly trained dogs that specialize in swallowing and transporting balloons filled with especially valuable substances. I've never heard of this practice before, but I can imagine that it does in fact exist.

OK, I will take these one by one. Thank you for trying to understand.
Yes, the crates can fit in the back seat. But the truck is two inches too narrow between the back doors so the doors can't be shut with the crates in.
Yes, the arm rests are preventing them from fitting in. The Taco is too narrow door to door (see title). This is why I was asking if there were other door panes I could buy. No one has answered this yet which probably means no.
A platform in the backseat could raise the crates up above the armrests, allowing them to fit but blocking all visibility.
The back seats are folded down. I thought this would be obvious.
Taking the door panel off would work if I was single. I'm not, and many women care how a truck looks including my gf. This would work but is not an option.
I'm not posting a bunch of pictures of the truck. I just don't see how that would help. It's just like all the other 2022's. I was hoping people would tell me about different door panel options but it seems like that's not a thing.

I can't speak for all dogs, but my dog is SUPER EXPENSIVE.

At 1 year old - had to have one of his canine teeth pulled because he broke it trying to grab my pant leg. $$
At 1.5 - ate a large amount of the stuffing in his bed and had to have x-rays with barium solution to make sure he passed it. $
At 3 - tore ligament in right hind leg. Heeled without surgery $$$
At 4 - tore ligament in left hind leg. No surgery needed but still $$$

He now hates the vet, so every time he needs shots or nails clipped, or teeth cleaning he has to be put under or drugged heavily to do anything. $$$
We have pet insurance that covers his knees, but even pet insurance is $$$

I think if I were to add it up my beagle Ronnie James "Dio" has put me back at least $15,000 from age 0-7.

The things you do for man's best friend...

off the shelf replacement? probably not.

custom door panel? check this and i guess start working? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIQu3IzuDso&ab_channel=AustinNiemela

and the cop out of blaming the looks of the interior of your truck on "many women ... including my gf" is pretty bullshit. your truck, your dogs, not theirs. i know if my dogs were that important to me and i needed to modify my for my needs, then they can fuck off.

Take the doors off the crates and cut what you need off the crate where the door would be.
    Like notch for the armrest.
When you put them in the crate and close the truck doors they now an enclosure.
The cab of the truck is crash rated so there would technically be no need for the crate anyway. Just a seat belt.

You could see if you could get a custom made enclosure to replace the rear seats, if there isn't a mass produced option already available.

You could also replace the bed with a dog box.

Does a crash tested crate mean that the dog is likely to survive or the crate is? My bet is on the crate. If crash tested crates were a viable safety device, wouldn’t we be seeing children in them?

OP, it seems obvious to me that you need to modify your truck as in post #4, modify your crates, buy new crates, or find a better way to secure your dogs. I don’t see any magical solution that will allow your current crates to fit. I’ve not heard of any market for replacement door panels.

Thank you for the entertaining thread and welcome to tacomaworld. I as a (former) dog owner got several chuckles.
