Trying to gauge interest on selling an add-on piece

I'm planning on providing some instructions to help with putting it on. I'm printing my first final set now so I''ll use that to instruct.

A quick explanation is that the covers in the picture will be placed on the outside of cubby inside the fender well.

 

I like it. I'd buy it once everything is finalized. With the gasket please.

 

I'm interested but a little lost as well to where they go....

I also installed the first set onto my truck and it's been raining constantly for the last 2 days so I'll be able to give an update on the product in use later.

What machine are you printing on?! Even if it was full speed printing with 10-15% infill it shouldn't look like that. My MakerBot prints are way cleaner with those layers, but it print PLA... ABS tends to warp a LOT when printing. Interesting tho.... what % infill are you using?

 

Great Idea. I'd like a complete set. Would you be willing to ship to Canada. If so, Please let me know how much more money you would like me to include, to cover the extra shipping charges?

I'm printing on a Flashforge Creator Pro, printing with ABS probably 25-25% infill (which could be a bit overkill but better rigid then breaking). For some reason I've always had a difficult time getting any kind of overhang to print well, PLA has done better but, ABS is by far worse in that aspect.

 

If you were willing to add $5 to the price it should cover what I need and if not you'll luck out on a deal

I agree there are other ways to accomplish this but, at least this is a cleaner and easier option for people that aren't into the DIY route

 

Are you printing with supports? Do you print on a raft? don't know why it would do that. Maybe try 0.2mm layer thickness?

 

Also, have you seen the acetone method for print finishes? make it completely smooth. Check out a YouTube video its quite interesting to see
