Had Nitto Ridge Grapplers installed yesterday, and decided to 86 the chin spoiler this morning.

A lot of beef for one free mod and a set of tires.

    Dip the fender flares black.
Put a 2" leveling kit on it.
Grab you some 275/70 17 BFG's with the white letters out.
    Done.

Yeah it needs a little love it's not smurfy enough. Really figure out what you want before purchase . I've redone mine a couple times even after looking around a BUNCH due to weight and added load .Add more wieght=more spring rate and dampener tuning.

I went with wheels with a negative offset. Shit looks “beefy” to me.

Stock wheel size. Stock suspension. Just different wheels

Agree with wider tires and offset of rims always helps

Man thats my mindset now. I was originally thinking 265/75 but with the -12 offset and 8" width I'd be pulling my hair out with even a little bit of rub. I want zero rub as well.

With the stock Wrangles when I crank full lock there's not much room left next to that cab mount.

Maybe go with the lift first? I dunno I did things the way I wanted. I kind of wish I went larger but whatever it works and I’m not too worried about it. You’re welcome to use my truck setup as a reference point. I can PM you more photos of how it looks and answer any questions you might have before you pull the trigger either way.

I will say with my old mud flaps I did have rub. I tried cutting them but it didn’t help. I ended up dropping money on a set of rokbloxz. No rub with those.

Appreciate it. I'm wearing out the stockers first and will be a while (3k miles now). I have the long bed and thing they look sick with bigger tires. Would rather keep suspension stock but how this forum makes me consider options.

The stock suspension isn’t bad. It’s a little too squishy for my liking. A set of OMEs is what I’m looking at. Might set me back like 1500. That’s much cheaper than many other options. I don’t off road enough to justify more. I like the idea of additional capability with a better suspension but at the end of the day a stock Tacoma is a beast of a truck.
