I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
Out of your three choices I would pick the HK USP40.

    Otherwise I recommend a Glock19 or Glock17.

FN=consider ammo/initial cost for what you get
HK=accessories and mag costs...if you are cool with the 2 it comes with fine, want more prepare to burn money. Some dealers may have 3 mag/night sight law enforcment versions for sale to the public at a deal.I would check on that.
Beretta=Look at the gun disassemled before you buy it(note (not feed ramp design) , look at one some on has used before you choose.

Bottom line best values on the semi-auto market,Glock and Springfield XD.

Just tossing this out there but asking which handgun is best for you is like asking which speakers sound best. I highly recommend you go out and shoot anything you are looking at buying. That is the only way to find the right one. (nerd moment: its like harry potter and the wands).

For example, i HATE the way glocks feel. Every single one was not comfortable in my hand. They are great weapons, just not for me.

And if you have shot all these and are asking for just technical advice I apologize for my rambling

i bought a 5.7 this spring...no regrets. shoots very nice. i got tired of lugging around my Baby Eagle. the FN wieghs less with 30 rds in it than my DE does unloaded. recoil is minimal making double taps very easy. ammo is not that expensive if you buy in bulk...about 36 cents a round.

I would agree that you need to shoot them so that you can determine which you like best. Personally, I like the feel of the XD's and the ease of disassembly.

Where does one advertise a handgun for sale as an individual? I have a brand new (never shot) in the box Sig P220 45 cal in 2 tone brushed stainless and I have no idea where to list it. Cant on ebay, cant on craigslist, cant trade it in as they want to steal it from me. Just curious.

Gunbroker.com - its like ebay with guns. Just check your state laws for shipping, some states allow you to ship but not receive a gun, others require you to have a license or use a licensed dealer just to ship a gun. I used gunbroker.com to sell a couple of rifles and it was very easy, I'd do it again and highly recommend them.

For the OP - just curious, why do you want a .40? I'd personally stay away from the 5.7, at least for now there's not a lot of ammo options. My father-inlaw works for Homeland Security and had to switch from a .45 to a .40, he said the .40 had a sharper kick and was actually harder to shoot than the .45. I don't have any personal experience with the .40 so take this with a grain O salt.

Its your call dude you need to shoot a few and make a decsion, I own a Glock 23 .40 and i really like the feel and how compact it is. But if i had a choose again i would prob go with a SIG those things are nasty. SIGs just shoot super smooth and just feel real good. But like i said man you should make the call on what feels good in the hand.
