    It is nice.

For what it's worth, the advantage I do like in privatized screening is that the costs no longer come from my taxes -- therefore I can choose do decide whether to support airlines/airports I feel are safe or not, or are too expensive or not.

Check out this link of TSA bullying a young pregnant lady

    http://www.networkworld.com/community/blog/tsa-bullied-groped-pregnant-first-grade-teach

Some quotes if you're too lazy to read article:

"TSA agent told her to be quiet if she knew what was good for her."

"When Becky asked if they would make her remove her clothes, Agent Olinger snapped, "Not unless you want to go to jail."

"he Olinger woman barked out a bunch of stuff I could not understand, and without my consent felt up my entire body, breasts, butt, etc. I was NOT given the option to have AIT (body scanners) instead of her touching me. I also wanted to be out in public with my husband and other people, not in a private room."

I agree with Philosoraptor. Better to be proactive than reactive.

"Don't like it, don't fly" is such a great sentiment, especially when you consider the highly slippery slope it rests on. Let's say you exercise your right to not be 'administratively searched' and catch a bus instead. Oh wait, that same treatment is occurring there more frequently. But then what about the train? Same thing.

In the end, the real question is, WHEN DOES THE MADNESS END?

Perhaps if your child went through it you'd feel differently or maybe your grandmother or girlfriend or even yourself. There are very valid reasons why many people object to this one size fits all bureaucratic response to a nimble enemy; it's fucking ridiculous [and worthless]!

On my recent trip to sweden, the button in my jeans set off the detector in the Frankfurt Airport in Germany, got wanded down and patted, first time i'd ever had a guy touch my crown jewels, like he checked between the bag and the leg..

Can't say I was thrilled about it, more just it was completely unexpected. Been patted down lots of times during air travel. takes 30 seconds and your on your way.

The day they start using catheters to check in my urethra though i will start raising holy hell.
