    Hello,

Anyone have any information on tsb-0023-19? Friend of mine took his 2019 Tacoma in for vibration/rumble strip gave them tsb-0023-18 they said it’s didn’t apply for his truck- thanks

A lot of dealers don't like when customers bring in a TSB number, it scares them. Also, you said he took his 2019 in but presented a TSB for 2018, which is why they quickly dismissed it. 0023-19 is the same, just updated to include 2019 models. I would suggest your friend go to a different dealership and just tell them what he is experiencing without a mention of the TSB. Let the tech test drive it and they will find the TSB if it applies. Now, once they have driven it and if they say they can't duplicate it or they claim there is no fix, at that time he could present the bulletin, but make sure to use the 19 version. Good luck.

Just look at the 0023-18 here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/list-of-t-sbs-etc.562671/ As far as I am aware, the 19 just indicates it now includes 2019 models. The only thing may be a VIN range, which the 19s will obviously not be on the 18 list. Try a different dealer and see how that works.

I (and many others) have the rumble strip vibrations at low speed/decel, and so far I've only heard Toyota say it's "normal on TRD OR models".. if your friend finds out something to the contrary- please update us.

FWIW- the rumblestrip vibration is definitely separate (or at least not mutually inclusive of) from the much more pronounced vibrations when braking at higher speeds.

Is the high speed vibrating you are referring to the issue with the rear brake drums? Is there a clear fix for this? I'm on my second set of drums with an appointment to get it looked at again (essentially going in for another set). I'm concerned they are just going to replace them again, and not do anything else. Last time I was in (for my first set of replacement drums), I was told the axle flanges were in spec. '18 TRD OR, 10k km.

I was literally at the dealer today for the same exact issue. They said they didn't feel anything and what they did feel, is a normal characteristic of the truck. I mentioned the tsb loosely in reference to the symptom only and they said that was older tacos with axle flange issues....... I would expect they would pull the tsb for my 2019 if it applied, butit seems nowadays nobody does their job properly. Sad.
