Its out there / I've had my ac shut down, but rare that im in that hot of a day. although i would like a extra fan in slow traffic.

Any one been getting it done ? what was your thought / pain in the ass or helped a lot ?
just wanting to see if i want to fight for it as there is no way i will be able to get proof at the dealer ..

Some 2016 – 2018 model year Tacoma vehicles may exhibit a condition where the air conditioning system shuts down and stops blowing cool air during periods of extended engine idle with ambient temperatures greater than 100°F. Follow the Repair Procedure in the bulletin to address
    this condition.

If it isnt hot as hell when you take it to the dealer, if you use the right words they have to do it.. read carefully

    Good luck
It's a pretty hacky invasive install, and the few people who have posted have had to wait months

So TWICE now I've complained about AC not cooling at stop/slow movement and sometimes it doesn't cool at 80 MPH like it used to. Same run around - temps fine, pressure fine. What does it take to get this damn TSB installed?

My dealership in Florida is adding the cooling kit to my truck right now. Truck has 55K miles and is covered by a certified used platinum toyota warranty.

I took the truck in and complained that the A/C was blowing warm air on hot days when I'm at idle or slow speeds. They didn't question me or try to duplicate, they ordered the parts and gave me a loaner car. Will report when I get the truck back.

Same story for me. Told advisor about issue and ordered parts no questions asked. Repair is done, now just waiting for a heat wave to test it.

Some of these dealers don’t look things up and you’ll have to give them the TSB

I haven't experienced this issue while idle but I've had it on about 3 separate occasions just not come on at all. I had to restart the truck and it came on like normal.

I had a 2019 bare-bones off road as a rental and the AC blew way harder than what mine does in my 2017 with the zone control tech. Id say Mine is about 75% of what the rental was at full blast. Mine doesn't freeze me out either. Also, mine makes that ticking type sound at lower fan speeds.

Mentioned the issue twice now and they looked at it and said its working fine.

So I took my truck in to get this TSB done, and first off they gave me a hard time because they said they couldn't replicate it, which I think for them meant they weren't going to drive it in real world conditions and were trying to avoid the work. None the less, I pushed and pushed and they finally ordered the parts.

The parts came in and I took my truck in, then I get told that because my truck is a manual transmission they cannot complete the TSB. I read through the whole TSB for the change and the only reason they wont do it is because the master hydraulic cylinder for the clutch is mounted on where the relay switch is listed to go on the TSB. And because of this they will not put the relay elsewhere.

I spoke with the mechanic that would do the change, and he said because of warranty they have to adhere to the exact changes of the TSB, which in all honesty I completely understand. What I don't understand is why in the world they did not even consider making a change for manual transmissions or having that option available in the TSB.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

.... sounds like they don’t want to do it. Can’t be hard to relocate it... call corporate?

Did Toyota finally install this fix from the factory or is it still an issue?

Still an issue. Trucks sold in Mexico get a second cooling fan from the factory. It's retarded we don't get one when the truck is made in Mexico.
