    Hey guys - So I just did my 15k maintenance where I also asked them to perform this TSB and provided them the TSB number. I picked it up and the advisor told me they did perform the TSB.

    I'm home now and was looking over the paperwork. My request to perform the bulletin as well as my symptoms are listed on the paperwork. In that particular section there are no comments about the flash being performed just a Labor; 0.4. I also checked under the hood where according to the TSB they should have attached a label applied with some details of the repair.

    Unfortunately, I wont be able to drive it much over the next week to confirm any performance changes. Is there any way for me to confirm on my own whether the work was performed?

    I had it listed on the paper but no hood label that I saw.

    0.4hr is a book rate for an ECU flash. See it on a few WOs.

    My 2016 was flashed a couple time with no sticker placed under the hood. You can use an OBD scan tool to confirm the calibration ID.

    I bought this one recommended by Scotty Kilmer on YouTube. Only $35 on Amazon. Does everything the average DIY mechanics needs. 419268A3-0083-4BD8-A787-7107180294B0.jpg

    Has anyone else noticed a high idle since having their ECU flashed? They might not be related, but I feel like since I took my truck in for the 10k service and had the TSB done, when I go out to warm up my truck in the morning I notice it's idling kind of high when I get in it 5 minutes later to drive to work. It's sometimes sitting at around 1100-1300 RPMs, whereas when the truck is warm after I park at work it has no problem sitting at 700-900 RPMS.

    I'm not in any way saying this is undoubtedly related to the TSB, but just trying to get more info. I don't actually hate the high idle in the morning because it does warm the truck up faster, but I'm worried it might be bad for engine components.

    Add me to the list of people who cant get it. I called both my local dealers and both had no idea what i was talking about and they wouldnt be willing to even look at the truck without me getting a letter in the mail. I explained that it is not vin specific and referenced the tsb number several times. I am a boat mechanic by trade and am certified by numerous OEM companies and deal with warranty and service on a daily basis. No, cars are not boats but i have a fairly good idea how the industry works and for them to not even entertain it is beyond frustrating. I am a consistent toyota buyer and have bought from both dealers in the past. I will be going in person to speak to them directly about it and probably bring in a copy of my Toyota corporate case reference number. Maybe that will change there mind. Yes i have checked my ecm number and i am eligible. Sorry for the long winded response just ranting. Will update in the near future.

    I had the TSB performed at the same time my low pressure fuel pump was replaced via the recall. I handed the TSB to the Service Advisor and he took care of the rest... gave me a Toyota paid rental from Enterprise for the day.
    I have the Launch X431 Scanner purchased here. There's a 25% off coupon going on now also. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZYTDKP3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    My 02/2020 Pro is scheduled for it's annual service on Feb 8. When I scheduled I mentioned the TSB and ticked off come of the symptoms. In reality, I've been wondering if I really need it- really have no issues with my truck's performance. So, I ordered a scanner to see what the calibration ID is on my truck.

    In any case, I printed out the TSB and will take it with me when I go in for the service.

    :rofl::rofl:

    Tell them to grab that shit from the ECU Update thread.

    :bananadead:

    In TIS, all they have to do is click the link in the TSB and it will grab the software, which is all of a 2mb file.
