Teflon spacers and lube the first time, second time more lube. I'll call and see if I can get service to mail me the receipt from my file.

But it was bad man. So embarrassing. Sounded like I was driving a rusted jalopy.

I crawled over speed bumps in mall parking lots so it didn't squeak cause I was so embarassed

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Brought mine in yesterday to dealer. Tech took me aside and said he could put in the fix, but it will just squeek again. He's done all the fixes to his, including full new leaf packs, keeps putting on the teflon but it won't stay gone. So I decided to skip it and just put in an Icon or Toytec kit instead :)

That's a good honest tech you have there, maybe I haven't put the new mileage on the Teflon that he has. I wish I could afford one of those right now.

Great! Yeah, if you find out let me know. Yes, the squeak is horrific.

We received a lot of rain here over the past few weeks and me being the child I am had to hit every rain/mud puddle that there was. Now I am having this issue. I took it in and they said they would order parts for me but that it would be 2 weeks! I hate sounding like an old rusted bed frame.

Bull shit I have had this TSB applied. Zero squeaks. It’s been almost a year too since I have had it done. I even got hit and run on my back bumper but that got fixed, still no squeaks from the Leafs

Was told by the service department that the leaf spring TSB silencers are back ordered and they have a 2900+ list of orders they are trying to fill.... Why dont they see this as a sign...

I didn't see this thread till after taking my 17 TRD OR to the dealership today because they rear squeak was TERRIBLE. They informed me about the issue and had replacement parts on hand. It took about 2 hrs to install the "rear leaf spring silencer pad kit" and so far the squeak is gone. Fingers crossed it stays gone.

Just brought mine in to Victory Toyota of Seaside Ca.
They checked out the truck and determined it needs the spacers. They cleaned up the leafs and “ordered” the spacers. Lets see the turn around time.

I am out of warranty and have added in a AAL. Will Toyota still replace the spacers or am I going to be paying out of pocket?

FYI, they will not. $22 parts. Parts and labor would be $189.

What is everyone’s thought on if I took truck to the dealer and they ordered the parts. While I am waiting, as I live 2.5 hrs from dealer, I put my 3 leaf aal in and then returned to dealer a month later for tsb. Do u think since it was documented before that they would still fix it. It’s hard getting these things done when you live so far from the dealer. It’s a pain just to spend a whole day taking it in for 6month service appointments. I might just live with it and who knows maybe my aal will help with the squeaky:notsure:

If you are installing an AAL they probably won't fix even after diagnosing it. If you're going to do the AAL yourself, you may as well fix It yourself at that point as you will have the entire assembly taken apart.

I can definitely do that. What is required for the fix? I was just going to pump some grease in there.

It looks like they just replace the spring pads that are at the end of each leaf. You may get away with putting grease on them. Download the instructions on the first post of this thread.

So guessing this isn't covered out of warranty? Squeaks just hit me at 55k. She now groans like a stuck pig every time I get in or out, and I'm only 180#

I’m getting squeaks with my 2019, they still haven’t fixed this?
