It would be good to hear more feedback, one says good, one says no good. I was scheduled to take my truck in hoping to get this fixed, but Service Advisor at dealer, says it is not available up here in Canada. Hopefully soon, this squeaking makes my truck sound like some old piece of shit. I've had easy half dozen trucks, all gms, all leafs at the back, all silent. Hopefully the TSB will work, and hopefully it becomes available to us Canucks.

My 2016 TRD Off Road starting doing this around 10,000 Miles, took it in during the regular service and showed it to the service advisor. He said they would take a look at it, but did nothing to fix it.
My fix was 1 can of liquid wrench and it was quiet again. Not an approved method, but it worked for me, and probably would work well in Canada as the snow would just make things worse.

Silencers work AMAZING!! Zero sound. Very, very happy. My door hinge they also “fixed” still has a clunking noise though ... next service I’m bringing that back up haha. Leif spring silencer is a huge positive though. Get it done.

Mine has 2500 miles, super clean, only cruised around on paved streets and a few gravel roads. Horrible squeaking/popping from leaf springs and squeaking from springs in the front too! I'll get it into the dealership and post an update soon...

Right on! Thanks for the post. They seemed pretty confused last Friday. I had to rebook anyway, so good to hear they are up on it.

They told me I would have to pay $150 up front for them to check my tranny shift issues and the squeaky leafs, 75 each. Then if they turn out to be warranty coverage, I'd get refund.

Tell that dealer to eat your ass. If your truck is under warranty, you don't pay anything. I would try to find another dealer, and call Toyota corporate and let them know that the dealer did that.

Exactly! that sounds like a horrible dealership to take your vehicle to. Charging customer to just check while the vehicle is under warranty is just ridiculous!

Took mine into the stealership last weekend, Apparently they only carry one kit on hand all the time, also that 1 kit only takes care of one side i guess. My guys are good, he told me he would order another kit and do both sides even if only one was squeaking so i wouldnt have to come in again for them to do it on the other side. (TBH i think both sides were really squeaking but that was his story). I am happy with that.

Thats pretty cool. I brought it up at my 20K service and showed them it was squeaking. They had to order the kit. Once I get back to my truck I am going to have to see if they ordered two. Hopefully they get it soon. But I'm sure its probably backordered.

I have Icon Stage 4 kit with AAL and they did mine Last Saturday. Three days later squeaking again. Gave them a great survey review and corporate called me back to check on it, explained it didn't work. Went back today, now the noise has been CLEARLY identified in the area from my AAL. So they are done helping me because they say the issue is now my AAL. SOOOOO annoying. I will put some cloth between the AAL and see if in fact they are pulling my chain or not this weekend.

This is why I am waiting to lift or do anything until my warranty is done. They try to blame every aftermarket thing you have to not fix a problem. I have 3 more years of a warranty and I think by then ill have a new vehicle (probably not a Tacoma).

I did more work chasing the squeak yesterday and found that they didn’t actually replace two of the pads on the leaf springs. I’m going back Tuesday or Wednesday for them to finish the job. I took a video of it squeaking, then spread the leafs and put a towel between the pads squeaking and tested again. Dead quiet. Took it to the dealership and showed service manager and he said ok I’ll order more pads and we will get you taken care of. Petty happy with them helping me make it right.

Sounds like you should send Toyota a bill for doing their work for them.

Yeah, no kidding. I imagine they will be quick to apply the ban hammer to a Bulletin on a truck with an AAL......
    Mine are pretty loud considering....
