Yes but when the problems do occur, and the service manager agrees and sees that the problems occurs, In my specific case the warranty people have claimed its not broken, so they will not cover it. So I suggest, if the OP wants the tsb done, and indeed has the problem, make sure its done under the original warranty, cause they don't seem to be keen on honoring their certified platinum extended crap.

TSB done yesterday. Took them 3 hrs. New shiny 4 leaf springs in. Truck is lifted about 1 inch and the suspesion is noticeably stiffer. I like it. :D
Thanks Tacoma World! I wouldn't find out about this w/o this forum.

done for free? yes, almost 100% of the time it needs to be under warranty. but there are rare exceptions.

anyway, the tsb is just documentation to help a tech with a solution to a given (usually very known) problem. it has nothing to do with warranty. if you have a problem, and they use the TSB to diagnose it, the repair can be done under warranty, or, just like anything else, can be done outside of warranty at your expense. if the issue is serious enough and a genuinely common problem, or something else to make it stand out as an issue, sometimes you can work out a deal for a good will repair, or some sort of cost compromise. but again, i don't think people stress it enough that a TSB is not a recall, it's not a guarantee that you have an issue or that you deserve the work to be performed; it's nothing other than a streamlining of the service process.

    Thanks for the info.

I stopped by my dealership today. After a 30 second conversation, the new springs will be put on Friday. That was a lot easier than i was expecting.

Maybe I am just lucky after reading many complaints about Toyota Service at Dealerships. I took my 2011 in today to see about getting the TSB done for the 4 leaf pack with the TSB in hand. They took the truck around the back, drove me and the wife to the mall in their 'shuttle', picked us up, and told me that the parts will be here on Monday to be installed on my truck.

I just had my tsb completed this past Wednesday. No issues at all. Called the dealer, told them it was bottoming out, they said bring it in, looked at it for about 15 minutes, came back and said they would order the parts and a few days later it was taken care of.
