Yes but you will have to have a USB port installed in your forehead first.

Got the tsb last night. I can feel a huge difference: shifting is much smoother now. I drive close to 1K miles a week so the change was felt right away. I recommend everyone experiencing shifting problems to get this. I told the dealer I felt jerky shifting when they asked what problems I was having.

I wonder how many do nothing other that hook up and go through the motions and want to see "if there is a improvement" reported ?

What about older Tacomas like my 05 I just paid off, I have been complaining about the shifting since day one. Anyone know I am going in monday for transmission fluid change and hopefully the bad front wheel hub bearing that has been whooing for 10,000 miles that Toyota dealer says is just the tires.

    Hey Jeff,

It's good to see someone in my area posting. I currently have 15k miles on my 09 and plan on visiting Gulf Coast Toyota on Monday for the usual oil change and tire rotation as well as have them take a look at my transmission. I too am having the rough / high rev shifting at low speeds and I am also having what appears to be a shifting problem from 4th to 5th when I am driving at a semi fast pace. What exactly did you tell them to get them to look at and fix your transmission? I want to make it as pain free as possible and your feedback is appreciated.

I originally tried to purchase my truck at Gulf Coast and they wouldn't budge and even went so far as to call me a liar when I told them I had a better price at Champion in Houston so I was not looking forward to my first oil change there. On the otherhand, Gulf Coast Nissan was extremely helpful when I purchased my wifes 2010 Xterra and the service dept was way above average.

    Tommy

I got the transmission tbs done last week. Wow what a difference. It shifts so much smoother through all the gears now. It even seems to coast better when you take your foot off the gas.

Going in on 4/2/10 to try to get my 2008 done, my vds matches the tsb but it's not a 2009. Hopefully they do it because the shifting is very fast from 1st to 2nd and after 2nd gear I usually dont know what gear I'm in.........
