yea im having a bit of trouble with my dealer too. my tacoma d-cab is there right now for a transmission leak at 6500 miles. i told them about the suspension and the tsb. the called 2 hours ago trying to tell me there tech was in the bed trying to get it to bottom out and couldnt and that the tsb stated that the truck would ride diffrent loaded or unloaded. i told them it was bottoming out and riding stiff. so we will see what happens.(update) the service tech from my dealer called back and told me that he was odering the parts for this tsb. so i will let you all know how it turns out

Dropped my 07 access cab non-TRD 4x4 off yesterday at the dealership. Parts were ordered and came in very quickly. 4-5 days.
I stressed making sure the correct parts were ordered according to the TSB parts numbers. I'm hoping for the best and chose not to insult anyones intelligence by demanding to see the parts first. I hope this wasn't a mistake? If it gets screwed up, I'll just take it back and drive a Cammry for a few more days. I'm cautiously optimistic. I'll report how it goes when its done.

well if u already have a trd, then just the leaf springs and the spring assemblies...if its a non-trd, they also upgrade ur shocks to the trd bilsteins as well.

So i got the dealer to check out my truck at the 5k "service" and they said that it didnt look like it would bottom out or anything (07, trd-offroad, 4x4,v6) and I told them that it did {wink, wink} well I gave him a copy of the TSB and he was like " wow, havent seen that- thats cool" he read it and was like "Great, we will fix ya right up" I made an appointment for friday.

The only confusing thing is that he said he was replacing the front AND rear shocks/springs/etc... with "heavier duty ones"?? I thought all I get is rear leafs?????????????????????????

Maybe he didn't read it correctly. It can be confusing if you don't read the whole thing. ;)

I have put about 700 miles on mine since the TSB. I love the TRD suspension. I don't really notice the stiffer rear end anymore, but I am about to change tires and get a tonneau cover. At that point, I may put some sand bags in the rear. We will see.

    So, all-in-all, I love it! :D

    Wow!

OK guys, here it is so far.

My dealership ordered the parts a week before Thanksgiving and called me the day before Thanksgiving to schedule the work for the Friday after or the Monday after. (pretty quick parts order!) I took my truck in on Monday morning and they called me Wednesday at noon to say the work was done and an oil change and tire rotation was done also. I was a bit skeptical and apprehensive before picking it up because they have been so good! I didn't mind them keeping it that long and taking their time because I had a nice little Camry to drive for a car.

I got down the street from the dealership to fill up the tank and decided to get under there and check it out. What a site to see! 4-leaf spring packs and brand new bright blue Bilstien shocks at all 4 corners. The rake is a little higher at the rear and the truck sits a bit higher. It looks great. I will have to report later on the handling and capacity. I only drove it back to work so far, but noticed a firmer ride already and it seems to handle better with less roll. More responsive I would say. It tracks true at highway speed and feels better all around initially. I'll have to get back with load information, but I can tell you before it was crap and sitting almost on the stops with just moderate loads. This set up has to be better for loads, etc.

My hats off to my dealership. They have been a great dealership in this matter. :)

Does anybody have a picture of the new leaf springs, or can anybody post a picture of the 4 leaf springs? I am pretty sure my truck already has the 4 leaf springs, but want to compare and make sure. Thanks!

all u gotta do is look under the rear fender...u dont even need to crawl under...there should be 3 facing up and 1 facing down. the bottom one facing up is quite smaller, so u may have to look for it
