Wait a second, my 2014 Tacoma is making this clunking noise when I go to stop, I read your post about how to fix the issue since you think it’s not the driveshaft, so what is it?

Ok let me vent for a second here!! My driveline started clunking last year intermittently. Over the last few months it’s progressively gotten worse to where it happens all the time now. Last week I took it to a local shop and they told me that my you joints and carrier bearing need to be replaced but that I should take it to the dealer since there was a TSB on file showing that this was a common issue with Tacoma‘s. The shop owner was super cool and told me he didn’t want to just take my money. He quoted me $330 to change the 3U joints and carrier bearing. The next morning I took the truck to my local Toyota dealer and they said the U joints were fine and everything that fell under the TSB did not need to be replaced (how convenient the free stuff works fine). They said the carrier bearing needed to be replaced and quoted me $1000 to change it out because it didn’t fall under the TSB. THAT IS A CRAZY PRICE! The following day I took it back to the local shop and they got it done in a few hours. No more clunk finally!!!! Dealers are total scammers.
