I have this awful noise also. Doesn't do it in low temperatures, but on hot days it sounds like stepping on a midsize walrus and the clutch does not engage smoothly almost like the plastic is catching on the way up. Mine is a 2014 with 14,000 miles.
I used to do the rotate the plunger thing but that doesn't work anymore.
I am loathe to go to dealers because they also mess something ELSE up. I haven't had to go in for any other problem with this truck at all.

I have the squeak on the interior, sprayed some grease in the joint and now I'm squeak free! The pedal feels better as well!

The squeaking could also be coming from the slave cylinder. Remove the dust boot, grease it up, and cover it. Right now its hot here and I have to regrease my pedal every 2 weeks or so. I also drive a lot in stop and go traffic so my clutch pedal sees a lot of use.

For those that had the TSB done to their truck...did they replace everything in the TSB; including the clutch master cylinder? I looked up the parts and it's pricey for the items in the TSB. I'm under warranty, but I don't like going to the dealer unless I really need to. If they replace all the items and the problem goes away...I will look for a good dealer in SoCal and have my truck service. Appreciate some input on this.

I tried all sorts of grease, lithium, PTFE, no luck. It's definitely coming from the small plastic sleeve that goes around this metal rod.

I worked on fixing my pedal squeak inside cab.

Here is how I solved mine for the time being.

Pedal feels like new and silent inside cab. Now I notice alittle squeak outside underneath the cab somewhere. I've read about a rubber boot somewhere under there but haven't been able to locate it?? Any pics would be appreciated.

Wow, nice write up! I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but didn't know what to remove and in what order. This helps a lot. As for the noise outside, look underneath the truck, look for the slave cylinder on the left side. The noise is coming from the slave cylinder actuating rod and the throw-out lever. I shoved some synthetic grease in the boot, closed it up, massaged it and the squeak was gone. Probably be best to remove it somehow, like what you did with the clutch pedal, but i think that requires removing clutch lines. You seem very mechanically inclined, so maybe you can find a better solution.

The pic is below, circled in blue is area where the noise is coming from.

Ah, unfortunately I have the 4 cyclinder 5-speed tranny. Hopefully someone else with a 6-speed can chime in. Not sure if the set up is similar, but you can try removing that shield and see whats underneath.

Were you able to get this answered? I have 30k on my 08 and have this issue... but it says 36 months or 36k miles for warranty on the TSB.

So about a week ago after work i took the truck to the dealership to get them to look at that annoying squeak in my clutch pedal. Got there about 4:20 for my 4:30 appointment and it took them about an hour to figure out what i needed replaced. So the service guy comes back to me in the waiting room and says this would be all covered under the 3 year 36,000 miles which you are over and the cost for all the parts was around $600 with 3 hours of labor, and i was like hold on a minute. I purchased this truck on February 1st 2015 and it was Certified Pre-Owned and it came with a 1 Year or 12,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty (I currently owned the truck for a little over 6 months and roughly had 5500 miles on it). So he argued with me a little about that and then i said I'm not paying anything for you guys to fix this truck! So then he went back and called Toyota Extra Care and finally about an hour after that he came back to the waiting room and told me that they were going to cover it under my warranty and there will be a $50 deductible. So a $50 deductible isn't too bad for around $600 worth of parts. So he said they are going to order the parts and when they come in they will call me and i can schedule a appointment to get it fixed!

So just to let u guys know that if you are under 3 years or 36,000 miles they will probably fix the clutch squeak, not sure if they go up to the 2015 year or not tho.

    A little information for everyone!!!!

So here is what they did, a picture of my receipt!!!!

My 2015 with 9,000 miles just started the creaking clutch noise. It's terrible and getting worse! It looks like TSB 0186-12 specifies 2007-2014 model years.
I'd guess that the work moe is having done is essentially the TSB.
Does anyone know if Toyota kept using the same clutch pedal subassembly in the '15s, even after this problem has been around for the last decade? I wonder if anyone has been able to get the Clutch Pedal Squeak/Creak Noise TSB work done on a '15. Are we able to just go to a dealer and request that they do a TSB? I don't want them to just lube it and try to tell me it's fixed.
    THANKS for any input!

Just had the service bulletin completed on mine yesterday. The squawk was really getting annoying. It started at around 18000 miles, but I waited until it got "plenty bad" before taking the truck in at about 20000 miles. On the phone they figured it could be solved with grease. When they checked the truck it didn't take them long to decide to implement the service bulletin. Only snag was when they were done, they had a leak. They had to fix that by replacing the master cylinder a second time and replace a fluid line. Unfortunately they didn't have another master cylinder on hand, so I went home in a loaner. That was on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning they called to say they were done. The squeak is gone and I'm very pleased with how well the dealer handled this.
